Komenda (INVŌKER Remix) | DHI | Premiere

The fourth Applied Magic release comes courtesy of Komenda, two alluring Süßboys from the flatlands of the North German Plain.

All tracks are unique in their own little way, just like the minds that created them. A manifestation of the idea that art must constantly move forward, that there are still new ideas and uncharted territories out there. You just have to seek them out.

Tunno could be best described as the sound of a dying dial-up modem, sending stuttering morse code to the depths of interplanetary space. Reminiscent of 90s bleep sound, warped and filtered through a prism of contemporary, cutting edge dance music.Guaranteed goosebump material!

356 really has its own pulse. 5 to the floor, straight yet broken, an everchanging, perpetually repeating mantra that just sticks in your head and never leaves you again. An unlikely earworm if you just let it catch you.

French hypertalent INVŌKER's remix for Tunno takes the original and wraps it up in a warm and cozy blanket. Classic Detroit pads meet a colorful, almost Balearic sound design with the monochromatic, angular original melody still shining through, transporting it from outer space to outside - somewhere near the beach.

The whole package is topped off with an artwork by David Kochs, who is not only a singular producer and DJ but obviously a really good designer as well.

French-based duo The Dualz return to Anjunadeep with their ‘Inside Me EP’. Having previously released on labels including Ben Böhmer’s Ton Töpferei, Way Of House and Parquet, Kevin and Geoffrey affirm their strong chemistry as producers with three stand-out melodic house tracks.

Opening the EP is title track ‘Inside Me’, first heard on Anjunadeep 11, which features a gorgeous lead vocal layered with a bouncing percussive groove. ‘Day By Day’ is filled with dark fluttering arpeggios whilst closing track ‘Beyond’ leads with a dreamlike vocal accompanied by pulsating synths.

Long time friend of the label, Dave Shtorn makes his way back on the label as his brand new track “Good Wood” is ready for you all. Having a release with us during 2020 through his stunning “Winter Flowers”, he now returns with another relaxed and sensational progressive production, this one named as “Good Wood”. We are always over the moon to see him back on the label and we know there are more to come. This is really fresh and melodic! 

On remix duty, Australia and Melbourne bound David Leckenby makes a welcome return to the label. He’s a producer that we always held high with his superb melodic progressive productions. This is yet another winner from the talented producer. Warm moods, melodic progressions and that superb atmosphere built to this stunning journey. It’s as brilliant as always and we are thrilled to see him back on our PHW Elements division. 

We are equally happy to see another return on the label as Ireland based Silinder makes another stylish return. A lot is said already about his music over the years and this is just another beauty from him, we let it speak on its own. A bit more stripped down, packed with some great elements to spice this release with yet another winner. He always takes us on a journey and this surely is one from start to finish.
