Um unsere zarten Körper vor dem Dahinschmelzen zu schützen, legt uns @Loora ein freshes Handtuch um die Ohren und drosselt die Geschwindigkeit, damit wir trotz der Hitze doch noch alle zusammen abfeiern können. Dunkle Tunes lassen es gleich ein paar grad kühler werden, während hier und dort die Sonne an der Diskokugel abprallt und uns das Gesicht verglitzert. Knallen tuts trotzdem ordentlich und Spaß macht es auch noch obendrein. Was wollen wir auch mehr? Genau nix. Also dann: Rave on!

One of my best friends turned 30 and I had an amazing time playing next to a slushie machine in a wonderful garden in Berlin. I selected tracks that make my heart jump and match the perfect vibe for a sunny afternoon.

Our 10th anniversary Spacecast comes from our co-founder and resident @lu_ko (LUKO), who moved to Berlin two years ago and has been co-organizing the Garbicz Festival. The influence of the capital city is unmistakable in his music.

He answered a few questions for us:

1. How did your artist name come about?
It’s pretty unspectacular. The first two letters of my first name and the last two letters of my last name.

2. Since when have you been DJing?
Oh, it feels like forever. It’s definitely been over 20 years. But I should mention that I took a complete break from the scene for about four years. It wasn’t until I started working on the Garbicz Festival that my passion for DJing was reignited.

3. Favorite club?
There are a few, but over the last two years and through my work, Kater Blau in Berlin has become my second living room.

4. Favorite time?
That’s not so easy to answer. It really depends on whether it’s in a club or outdoors, and in which city. But I feel most at home during the after-hours.

5. Favorite color?
Blue, red.

6. Favorite food?
As an absolute foodie, I can’t pick just one: Italian, Asian, Turkish, Polish.

7. Favorite planet?
Of course, the disco planet.

8. Best experience while DJing?
When the records just seem to fall into my hands without having to search for them.

9. Worst experience while DJing?
When the organizer wants to shut down the party.
