This Sunday we will begin a new series entitled “The Wilderness.” In this series, we will look at the time of wilderness wanderings from a practical point of view. We know that God has a reason for everything He does, and the 40 years Israel would wander is no different. But what happened and why? What was the point of it all and the significance of those things we have recorded? The truth is we know far less about what happened than we do about what took place. Almost 37 years of their time in the wilderness is a mystery, and we know nothing. This makes what we do know all the more important! In this series, we want to ask what it all means to me. If I had been there, what would I have taken away from the experience, and what would it have taught me about God and myself? These questions and more will be the subject of this new series.
