I'm fairly proud of the two main theme of this piece, they have grace and a simplicity that makes it very malleable and expressive. That is, I hope, well displayed through modulation I employed (G-B-D) and frequent switching from major to minor. 
I particularly liked the final bit of the exposition where I reversed the main theme, played it descending instead of ascending, which added a layer of macabre/discord displayed and emphasized through chromaticism and dissonance.
There is still a middle part mising that I may add in the coming days, (although that would transform the form of the piece, so an impromptu might not be the correct title, but we'll see).

Overture (Fear & Hope)

The Cabaret is the third track from my new project, The Night. It was conceived for my wife to dance, as she is a poledancer. The track represents a man going to the club and being blown away by a performance of a dancer.

The Cabaret is on fire, but not literally.

Heat of the moment, visions collide,
Turning to vapor, no place to hide.
Dissolving edges, a new design,
Into the chaos, the stars align.

We’re liquid alloy, We’re flowing free,
Back where we came from, lost in the sea.
We’re Molten echoes, we forge the sound,
As we dissolve, together we return to the ground

Into the depths, we rise and fall,
Uncharted realms, we’ll conquer all.
Into the unknown, embrace the flame,
Born from the ashes, we’ll never be the same.

We’re liquid alloy, We’re flowing free,
Back where we came from, lost in the sea.

Translucent dreams, we fade and blend,
Completed metamorphosis, we transcend.
From solid ground to endless flow,
To survive this madness, we’ll let go.

We came here to Love.
We came here to learn what great Love really is.
We came here to learn about a Love so great that, just out of joy, it builds a whole multiverse.

We came here to learn what great Dance really is.
We came here to learn about the joy of the great weaving, spiralling dance of the web that give form to this multiverse.

But not all are here to Love and Dance,
And those who came before us, aeons ago,
Knew the trials we’d have to face, and pass
So they left us guidance in letters from home.
They drew them as stories in the night skies
On silver starships that stay true to their course,
Like messages in bottles across the sands of time,
We rely on these myths to guide us along.

We came here to make Art,
We came here to understand what great Art really is, to know the Artist who paints a glorious sunset across the sky in indescribable hues, purely out of Joy. 

We came here to make Music
We came here to understand what great Music really is,
The song that the universe is built upon, the Word of God, Om, that births frequencies to create both Sorrow and Joy.

So we always look forward to those letters from home
Drawn in the stellar guides that are ever true
Like messages in bottles across the sands of time,
We rely on the wisdom of ages to guide us through.

Back Home - Pt1 - Classical Piano

A short trilogy about a  woman who escaped her oppressive life in Germany a long time ago ("Far Away") and emigrated to a free life somewhere on the coast of Portugal. In the second part, "All through the night", she finds herself without any money or opportunities at a dead end. In the 3rd part, "She Forgot", she is old and no longer remembers the beauty of her youth, apart from all the narrowness.

When she took off from Cologne

She forgot, she enjoyed to hitch a ride with her brother
