El nombre del momento. Importante lo de su nombre porque cómo ha ocurrido con otros seudónimos misteriosos, su identidad real tardó bastante en despejarse. Se dijo de él que era Richie Hawtin aunque con el tiempo ya ni se sabe cuantos nombres más se barajaron en innumerables especulaciones, Mika Vainio fue otro, pero al final se descubrió que su nombre de pila es Stephan Metzger. Sus primeros cuatro maxis como Sleeparchive - Elephant Island EP, Recycle E.P., Infrared Glow E.P. y Research E.P.- le ayudaron a ganarse el favor del público interesado por el nuevo techno de bajos pesados, salpicado con acid y estructuras complejas para un productor que, pese a su timidez, tiene mucho que decir. Debutó en un escenario en España el 19 de noviembre de 2005 en el The Loft de Barcelona donde por primera vez se le puede ver en directo. Su relación con España se estrechó bastante cuando firmó una remezcla en la séptima referencia del sello de Karlos Phazer y Mikel_e, uno de los nuevos labels de techno de aquí: Cray1 LabWorks.

We both really enjoyed the performance in Dublin on 2nd October and we're happy with where this Live Improvisation project is heading.

As a resident for club Lehmann this man has made a name for himself in the techno scene,playing at many well known events and clubs like Nature one, Droid Behavior's label night and Tresor!

He loves to play extended, passionate DJ-sets. Biography
SIMO LORENZ – will surely be heard more often in the future! This charismatic guy from Stuttgart managed to establish himself in a very short time in his home country Germany and has already generated international demand as a promising new talent. The longtime vinyl friend played his first public gigs in 2008 then from 2009 at club ToY as a resident , where he also promoted his own event series „Contorsion“ until autumn 2013. Meanwhile Simo is a resident DJ at another important club in
Germany, the legendary Lehmann Club in Stuttgart.

His strength lies in long and devoted DJ-sets up to 8 or more hours. In these long sets with his digital setup including 2 computers, machine and various controllers he plays precise and technical sets where he takes the crowd on an exciting journey through different forms of techno. After arriving in Stuttgart this last year he has charmed crowds at festivals like Day & Night, SEMF and Unite or at clubshows in some european capital cities like Tresor and Stattbad in Berlin, Corvinteto in Budapest, Blok in Zürich or Boink! in Vienna.

Mr. Lorenz is also not an idle man in his studio. His sound ranges from dark and straight Techno to groovy, hypnotic and deep rhythms and his releases can be found on labels like Sutter Cane’s Driving Forces, Mike Wall’s Wall Music, Subfractal’s De-Konstrukt or Freitag Ltd. Remixes for Acts like Björn Torwellen, Drumcomplex, Submerge & Ricardo Garduno or John Templeton have been released on Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Among, Wayward Music, Googoo or on the Driving Forces X-series. For the last imprint he has already mixed podcasts, as well as two for Erphun’s Brood Audio. Upcoming work can be found on Illegal Alien or Drowne Records – Prediction: More than promising!

It’s all about the moment. A certain record being played at a certain time and place. For sure everyone who’s ever been at a techno party knows about the excitement taking hold of a crowd when a DJ is in fully control of this talent. With this in mind, it’s a small step to an artist like Ritzi Lee –a DJ who lives for these kinds of moments.

Working his craft for many years now, this Dutch techno phenomenon was already there in the early days. Making his way through the Amsterdam nightlife, where he witnessed the euphoria in famous clubs like RoXY and iT, he discovered his love for pure techno music. Winning a DJ contest held by dance magazine Bassic Groove he caught a wave, getting to play renowned events like Dance Valley and the FFWD Dance Parade.

Even though Ritzi Lee was already spinning records for a couple of years, now a bigger audience noticed his talent. A flawless technique and recognizable straight techno sound made him one of techno music’s underground stars –things started to roll.

Especially when the Dutchman launched his Underground Liberation imprint, where he’d be releasing some of the most successful techno tracks, Ritzi Lee became a household name in the international scene. He was omnipresent throughout the 00s, playing the largest festivals, performing at Awakenings, doing club gigs supporting DJs like Jeff Mills and Ben Sims, playing ADE on Dave Clarke’s night, gaining fans everywhere. A solid reputation he’s kept until today.
