When I learned of the heart-wrenching news last week about the passing of Ultrasonic's Mallorca Lee, just weeks after his cancer diagnosis, I felt a sense of loss coupled with an urge to pay homage. As I started my DJ journey in the 90s, UltraSonic's vinyls were a cornerstone of my collection. Mallorca Lee's energy and infectious enthusiasm on stage were nothing short of inspirational, leaving a mark on my heart and craft. 

In seeking a way to honour his legacy, the choice of UltraSonic's "Angels" for a tribute remix felt appropriate for the circumstances.

The lyrics "In my dreams, We will be together forever, Flying higher" from the track, beautifully remind us of Mallorca Lee's impact. These words make me feel like Mallorca's spirit and his music will always be with us, even though he's no longer here. Mallorca's dreams and the music he made will continue to inspire and lift people up, long after he's gone.

Joe 1st began learning how to mix in 2003 when he was just 16! He got his first set at a night called 'Hard not 2' at the Atrium in Leeds just aged 17.

Since then Joe has come on leaps and bounds, slowley pushing him self up the ladder. he is well established in the Leeds area and is make his name known further afield. 

Joe currently holds residencies at Rave On! Inception and Cheeky Tracks, and he loves his vinyl more than CDJs - so this Leeds favourite is bound to get the room rocking with a few classics thrown in for good measure.
