Hello, we are Wenisenty!

We are an Indie rock band from Northern Ireland, attempting to share our music with whoever enjoys it.

Some of our recordings are kinda awful but we honestly tried our best with what an RC-30, a guitar, an Alesis drum kit and Audacity can actually offer. That’s why they’re only considered as demos, but they’re still listenable, obviously.

We made up some lyrics, but we’re currently sorting out a singer so we offer some instrumentals. We’d like to offer the chance for someone to take the role of bass player. If you’d like to play bass for us, please message us on Instagram with our account: wenisenty

I find a lot of my likes on the BBC Introducing Mixtape and I collect as many of the tracks as possible into a Monthly package.

Cross Wires are an East London based four piece consisting of Jonathan Chapman (vocals) Peter Muller (guitar/vocals) Matt Lazard (bass) and Ian Clarke (drums)

The debut full length album from the band ‘A Life Extinct’ was released on Culture War Records ‪on Friday 1st November‬ on Vinyl as well as digitally. 

It was recorded at Kluster Rooms in Limehouse, East London and produced by Rory Attwell (The Vaccines, Telegram, Traams, Palma Violets, The Goa Express)

‘A Life Extinct’ is not a concept album in the traditional sense but the theme of extinction looms large across the 11 tracks. Tracks from the album have received airplay from John Kennedy on Radio X,  Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music, Jess Iszatt on BBC Introducing and American Punk Music and Black Flag legend Henry Rollins on KCRW over in the US.

The second LP ‘Yesterday In Mourning’ was released on 5th May 2022. Again produced by Rory Attwell. It received great reviews and Radio plays from Louder Than War, Artrocker, Radio X and Amazing Radio.

Cross Wires have built up a great live reputation playing across some of the best venues and festivals - Tramlines (The Leadmill Stage) Shiiine On, Camden Rocks, The Great Escape (Alternative Escape) and The Old Blue Last, The Shacklewell Arms, Sebright Arms, The Victoria, The Windmill, and Ramsgate Music. 

Cross Wires have been featured on a host of well respected blogs and websites including - Fred Perry Subculture, Tom Robinson’s Fresh On the Net (Fresh Faves) Little Indie Blogs, God Is in The TV, Killing Moon and The Devil Has The Best Tuna.
