I was digging through the cd stack and re-discovered this jewel that I did in like 2004. When I was a kid I discovered a lot of great music in my dad's record collection. Marvin Gaye's music always took me to another place. This song really spoke to me when I first heard it. When I started getting a little bit better at producing music I decided to try to remake this song from scratch. The original is a masterpiece, nonetheless this is my first and only go at producing and performing a cover. Rest In Peace Marvin Gaye. My name is Joey Cordero and my artist name is j.TRU. I have an album released under the name "Verses from the Planet Mongrel" and the band name is "Planet Mongrel" I also released a solo album titled "Father Can U Hear Me?" under the artist name "j.TRU". I released these projects under the record label Juggernaut Records. The other artist on the label were: "Money Hungry" and "10sion". This independent record label formed out San Francisco, CA in 1999. We had a good run, but unfortunately I ran into some bumps in the road with drugs and legal issues. Today I work as a family advocate helping families that have come into the contact with the child welfare system get their children back and stabilize themselves with recovery and housing. I'm working on some new things with music; starting to release some material that was never heard and also excited to reach the world with the new material I have.
