Spring heeled Jack

Original solo synthesizer composition. This is track 2 on the 2011 demo CD for my new music group, Compass Rose Records.

This originally started as a downtempo song I was writing with my bandmate, but we couldn't agree on what sensibilities we wanted so we split off and each wrote our own piece, and this was mine. The mood actually came out fairly close to what I was originally aiming for, although it went off in an orchestral direction that I didn't expect at all.

Sequenced and mixed in Ableton Live. The synthesizers in question are a Roland JV-1080 and the Ableton devices (Operator, Analog, Sampler)
