BARNEY

Step to the sound!!!!

Barney is the bossman in charge of Keighley’s Silly Sunday events, he started his DJ life playing rock and metal in pretty much any rock bar that would have him. He moved on to playing regular nights at Bradford’s Gas Works and then Trap door.
Barney started learning to mix around 10 years ago and started out playing Electro Swing and Ghetto Funk and went on to set up charity event Silly Sunday at the Cricketers in Keighley aiming to raise money for local mental health charities and give local DJs a platform to come and show their skills

More recently he’s been spotted shelling down D&B and Hardcore at Shipley’s Wave events while also having a residency on Hardcore Vibes Radio where he’s reignited his childhood love of Happy Hardcore and UK Hardcore and the occasional live stream playing the harder end of things for the likes of Often Pompen and In Me Gut.

With Barney you never know what you’re going to get, his music tastes and influences are eclectic, spanning metal, punk, ska, electro, hip hop, breakcore, crossbreed, hardcore, you name it.

This mix is full of UK hardcore bangers, guaranteed to get you bouncing

Introducing a new artist, DJ Paradise (NZ) lands on Backlash Records with his debut release, the "Astral EP," a four-tracker with tempos ranging from 163bpm to 170bpm, rooted firmly in the sonic soundscapes of yesteryear. The opening trio of tracks pays homage to the illustrious '90s jungle era, lovingly crafted with a hybrid hardware/software setup that seamlessly melds classic and contemporary production aesthetics.
