LOCUS BALI 2025 | LIVE

It's another biggie!!! Following last week's emotional rollercoaster with CHIZ, NoDave drives over to Bristol for another meaningful clash of sounds, souls and vibes, this time with kindred spirit KJAH and the focus is very much on the classic rolling Bristol sound. 

It's a sound that's so synonymous with KJAH that I honestly thought he was literally a Bristolian for years before we first spoke years ago when I interviewed him for UKF. 

Turns out he's just a deep deep DEEP nerd for that timeless, foundational essence of West Country jungle. The fact he regularly works with originator and Full Cycle pioneer Suv is as big as co-signs get in this field. And the fact I am able to go toe-to-toe with him in his own studio is an amazing feeling for me! 

I say it every time but I love it when a B2B makes me focus and zone in on a particular vibe and style. Mixing with Keiran definitely made me do that. This is proper unapologetically headsy session of late 90s inspired basslines, deep jungle and contemporary bass rollers that we could have continued for hours.

Unfortunately a little tech failure occurs along the way so you'll have to deal with just the sound for around 10 mins mid way but honestly who would want to look at these old grumpy faces when you can close your eyes and listen to some serious BEATS? Especially as many of them from KJAH's side are unreleased, forthcoming exclusives!!! 

This is so so so SO dope!

@olliemyriad returns to the label again after drippin' the super rolling 'Ready For Play' on Outsauced 3, which got a lot of love across the scene. This time we have managed to secure an incredible EP from the West country talent. From the outset his direction for this project was firmly focused on Bristol flavours and we are delighted with the results! The Sauce Recordings proudly presents Myriad's 'Brizzle Drizzle' EP.

The title track is a perfect starting point... narrated by a certified Bristol legend who talks about a community vibe in the city, a very special cultural melting pot that helped to cultivate a uniquely Bristol sound. Myriad brings the real authentic flavours on this one, lashings of 'Brizzle Drizzle' all over the shop.

For this special instalment Off The Cuff I invited down my long friend, and peer Teej alongside his sparring partner Mc Fokus. It went down dark, rolling and techy! 

We rolled out about 10 minutes each at the start, then jumped in to just under a 2 hour B2B of straight heavyweight selection from start to finish. MC Fokus holding it down on the mic throughout the whole show, levels!
