#Paul McCartney

This is a bit of an obscure one.  Paul McCartney loved these old styles and wrote a number of great tunes which never made it to release.  I heard this on in the 80s and loved it.  Came across it again the other night, and well here is my take.  Another gem by Paul

I haven't played this song in a good number of years... Probably sometime in the 90s.  Today I felt like I needed it.

Haven't quite finished this one yet, but feeling lazy tonight.  Will through some sort of lead on this one sooner or later.  Actually recorded this one in the Summer and forgot about it.

Heard this song today and wondered why I never had before.  Nice little song by Paul McCartney.  Apparently it was meant for Red Road Speedway when it was going to be a double album but was cut. It's showed up as an extra on various remasters.

Calico Skies - Den And Jim - (Paul McCartney Cover) - remastered

This would have have been our 20th anniversary..... never gone from my heart mister.  Recorded this one remotely with my brother Denis.  He send me the base guitar picking track.. I added the main vocal.   I tried to layer a piano part but just didn't like how it sounded, so I added a guitar or two.  I later added additional vocals  (and the crickets).  When I'm home during summer and record in the living room, I love the way the crickets sound, so I recorded them.  Some of the backing vocals I added by singing into a rolled up magazine to get this sort of organ sound.

Little Willow - Den and Jim - (Paul McCartney cover) - Collaboration

Have always liked this song..  Was reminded of it today on a phone call with my brother-  We'd talked about doing it before.  I dropped the key down a half step to Bb so I can hit the notes without much trouble.
