No Fear Of Pop: Notes on the future of music.

No Fear Of Pop was founded in Berlin in late February 2010. It is a website about music of whatever genre and of whatever origin that seeks to transcend the habitual preconceptions about the "modern" in contemporary popular culture. The music written about will be pop in the broadest, most liberal sense of the term, rejecting accustomed dichotomies between the underground and the established - read mainstream. We believe that the music that you'll find on this site is not to be missed within the context of the pop tropes of today and tomorrow.

No Fear Of Pop is written in Berlin, with contributions from the UK, the US, Canada, and Australia.

Founded by sonic architect and explorer Robert Raths aka ghostworker in 2007, Erased Tapes is a truly independent record label that has disrupted the industry and rejuvenated the musical landscape. The London-based label has consistently nurtured genre-defying artists from all around the world without losing its avant-garde ethos.

2015 saw BBC 6 Music radio presenter Mary Anne Hobbs stage an Erased Tapes evening featuring Nils Frahm and A Winged Victory For The Sullen at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the prestigious BBC Prom. It was the fastest selling ticket of the entire season. Shortly after Erased Tapes was awarded Best Small Label 2015 at the AIM Awards.

On February 5th 2017 Erased Tapes opened the doors to its new East London home, marking the 10th anniversary by introducing fans and the public to the new Erased Tapes Sound Gallery.

Singer-Songwriter Scott Roddan, who goes by the artist name "Roddan" is a West Coast American-Songwriter who writes and composes songs that include genres, Singer Songwriter, Blues, Folk, Pop, World, Rock, and Country.

Roddan released his first album "Music House" (2016) recorded in Austin TX and mastered at Yes Master Studio's Nashville, "Bleed 432" (2017) recorded at Smilin Castle Studios, and mastered at Congress House Studio both in Austin, and "Don't Be Troubled" (2018) also both recorded and mastered in Austin, TX.

Roddan's recordings have included several Grammy nominated co-vocalists, a SXSW award winning producer, and musicians associated with Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Bodeans, John Mellencamp, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristopherson, film directors Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino, to name a few. His song, “Reconciliation”was a semi-finalist in the International Song Writing Contest.

Roddan's diverse writing skills, catchy melodies, thoughtful lyrics, diverse ensemble of supporting musicians and vocalists, are well worth the time to give Roddan a listen.
