...I build my tracks, like a story to tell..., I don't really create according to my inspiration, it is continually present, but rather to the emotion of the moment... that's perhaps why I create music of very different styles, my wish is to be able to make you travel or make you tripping or make you grooving through my productions...

Niacin lives in oxford uk and has long had a passion for edm,more so especially for old school jungle from the very early 90s . In 1987 i fell in love with "acid house" and a seed was sown. My musical influences are huge,taken from everywhere,from dub reggae to 70s and early 80s electro,early 90s jungle and the sounds from Legend records(Gwange,Spinback,The Invisible Man,Dj Lee)LTJ Bukem(glr)Reinforced,Suburban Base,Tom and Jerry,Potential Badboy,Slammin Vinyl,Mike Slammer & Red Alert,Moving Shadow,Fabio,Grooverider,Ellis Dee,Peshay,Ratty,Hype,Total Science & CIA recordings,Micky Finn,Randall,Daddy Almshouse,Strictly Underground,Qbass,Manix,Skeleton Crew and the superb Bay B Kane, Bizzy B and Tango(RIP)(3 of the very best)not to mention the inspirational "white labels" of 1990,91,92,93

Brief Story of my musical life!
Hi, dear music lovers, 
*My name is Johan F. Langhendries and at the age of two, I became interested in music. Believe it or not, I was a very quiet child and I often listened to music on my father's radio. Jazz, Rock, Classic, just everything! A little later, at age 4 and 5, my grandmother learned me what a C-chord was on her piano, in the different octaves. Later on, she learned me also the other chord. At the age of six, I started making my own drums with wash-powder boxes and I used wooden kitchen spoons to make the sound of a “drum”. When I was 8, several albums like for example; “Let it be” by The Beatles, Block Buster by The Sweet, Black & Blue by The Rolling Stones, etc... were a part of my drum exercise experiences as a young kid. 

° At the age 10, I learned to play on a real drum-kit and trumpet and was also following music theory in two different music schools, for six years, to fill up my evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoon, I had to go to our music theory class and we learned how to write music, etc… At the age of 12, I had my first second-hand drum-kit and at sixteen i started playing in a Punk-Rockband. Lots of fun indeed! At age 18 I  went to study at private school ‘Haleweyn ‘Jazz-Studio’ in Antwerp and learned a lot more about Jazz music and how to play it... I Love to play Jazz, but Funk and Rock became the biggest part of my drumming experience.

– EXPERIENCE; I’ve played as a professional drummer in many bands (Belgium) like ‘Citizen Jane’ (Jazz/Pop) for 5 years with one CD recording and many concerts. I’ve been a studio recording drummer and have worked 40 years as a drummer;  Live concerts, Recording drummer and albums with different rock bands, etc. I still do and learn of course!

– MY PROJECTS SINCE 2004 are; Wannislas(aka) and Abstinent Dazzle (Band). With these two projects, I make some Funky, Dance, Reggae, Rock & Jazz (Fusion) music.    In my third project; Johan Franz Lang (feat. Space Orchestra) I make a kind of contemporary chill-out, easy listening music. 

- I followed a sound engineering class for 2 years (age 29) and do the mastering for my albums and sometimes for other artists - 

° Now, I hope you will enjoy my music and I like to get comments and positive critics if there are some, and of course I appreciate too see some sharing of my music on social media!
