Sometimes a song is a journey. I wrote the guitar part and bass line for the chorus of this song back in 2004, but never did anything with it. I loved the vibe, but couldn't finish it. So I stored it away, hoping to pick it up again one day. In 2016, I funneled some angst into lyrics about letting go of something to salvage my heart (and no, the lyrics are not about my wife). In 2022, I recorded a new guitar and remixed everything. Then, in 2025, I gave it an island vibe. I think this is it ... for now ... and it's still not about my wife. I'm gone.
