All work on this page has either been written, produced or co-produced by me. 
I've been producing and recording artists for two years. I have recorded jazz artists, classical musicians, and hip hop artists.
I strive to create etherial atmospheres, leaving enough open space for the listen to hear their own thoughts. I bring the rhythmic devices closest to the foreground and create contrasts between minimalism and expansiveness, alternating between overwhelming listeners and stripping the music down to it's rawest elements. I have been heavily influenced by the work of Rick Ruben, Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, Kanye West, Radiohead, Bill Evans, Joe Pass, Rudy Van Gelder, J Dilla, and Flying Lotus.

Critically-acclaimed Dutch act Weval (AKA Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholte Albers) arrive on Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint with their new EP Changed For The Better. The duo hail from Amsterdam, where they have been cultivating a unique sound that balances high energy electronic funk and emotive synth arrangements with bold, beautifully composed melodies and songwriting. The duo recently embarked on a mission to rediscover themselves and what truly drives them, in a process of liberation from self-imposed constraints. Their creative process was reinvigorated with an uninhibited approach and Changed For The Better represents Weval unfiltered, accepting themselves for who they truly are.
