Long Wait (Yotto Remix) [feat. Solomon Grey]

Label boss Secret Cinema returns on Gem Records to re-release the first ever Secret Cinema track: Timeless Altitude. The re-release is part of the SILVER project celebrating Secret Cinema’s 25 years in music and comes with a brand new Heiko Laux remix. The EP is ready to hit digital stores on April 21st. A total of nine Secret Cinema classics will be re-released with remixes both digital and vinyl as part of the box set SILVER.

The Dutch producer had been making music under several aliases since 1991 and already had a number of worldwide club classics to his name. But in 1994 he spawned his most powerful persona: Secret Cinema. His studio was still in his mother’s house where he made the track sitting on the side of his bed as there was no space for a chair between the bed and the equipment. 

The EP went on to sell over 25.000 copies and even made its way into the overall top 10 in Belgian charts. It was an absolute anthem played by everyone across the globe including the likes of Cox and Väth. He did not know at the time how Timeless the track would be as it is still stands its ground today.

Heiko Laux took on the heavy task of remixing the classic and did a simply amazing job. The result is one of the most epic pieces of techno in the Gem Records catalogue to date. After being released on vinyl as part of the SILVER box it now hits the digital stores for the very first time. 

The Silver box set is limited to 500 pcs, numbered and signed by hand. A real collector’s item and a luxury boxset never seen for an electronic artist. SILVER contains a customized USB stick with all productions ever made by Secret Cinema. Also included are three vinyls with all new remixes, A CD with 4 live sets from the past 3 decades, a greatest hits CD, a new documentary about Secret Cinema (with Adam Beyer, Pan-Pot, Michel de Hey, Benny Rodrigues) the animation film Barcode from 2003, artwork and photo’s, and to top it all off: a floppy disk with all the samples from Sonar System (1991) like the one Verheij used in his Amiga 500. 

Unlike most legends, Verheij has his eye on the future and prefers to develop rather than look back. It’s a good thing Gem Records and Mary Go Wild decided to document Secret Cinema so far…

Stan Kolev joins the 25 year celebrations roster with a superb rendition of Antidote's 2006 slice What Time Is Love. Antidote aka Laurent Veronnez and Marnik Braeckevelt started Antidote back in 2003 as a vehicle to churn out quality progressive trance with a techy edge. They found their home on our Progrez imprint which was responsible for a raft of top notch cuts from the turn of the millennium. Tracks like Paraglider, Velocity and Sciabada were go to tracks for many jocks building a set into a deep progressive journey. 

Stan Kolev is a solid choice for remix duties and he has been a regular featured around the Bonzai offices and top download portals for quite some time. Based in Miami Beach, Florida, Stan certainly injects a warming east coast flavour to the track, giving it a much deeper progressive flow. Right from the get go we're drawn into that warmth thanks to a bubbling bassline and super tight drum arrangement. That classic vocal floats through the track raising the hairs on the back of your neck in the process. At the heart of the groove lies a droning sub bass that is complimented with brighter melodies that create a glistening sheen on the sound. The break is a purely blissful affair before we head straight back into full on mode for the duration. Top notch stuff that will not disappoint.

His latest release sees him team up with long-term collaborator Egbert on a two track EP that's received support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Charlotte De Witte and Alan Fitzpatrick.

Tronic needs no introduction for those who have followed dance music for the last 20 or so years. Since its inception back in 1994, Christian Smith has founded a label that constantly delivers top techno tracks year after year. Not only does he run the label, but also has his long-standing Tronic radio show, which is syndicated in more than over 100 countries worldwide.
Known and loved for its albums, Tronic released the very first of its kind with a collaboration only project in 2017 with 'Synergy' and this June we can reveal who is on the official remix pack. 
New names to the label appear on this release, including Petter B and Oliver Deutschmann with their heavy hitting tracks in the pack. Fast-paced, synthetic soundscapes and intricate percussive elements for some late-night rave style rework.
Shall Ocin comes in with a rolling synthetic hook, dark ominous bellowing horns, and a punchy clap, whilst Agaric's complex remix has an array of pad and synth work for a futuristic edge to the original.
Acid and breakbeat are coming back, and that can be heard in both the Jam El Mar and Zeta Reticula remixes. Jam El Mar, the only artist to have released on Tronic before drops a snapping acid line, thick kick and has a massive pad engulfing the mix, this is a big room techno anthem with a hint of trance. Zeta Reticula's breakbeat electro inspired attitude reigns in the mix, with a vocoder vocal coupled with some synths.
Tronic growing the label's roster with some fantastic new artists on this release, with a track for everyone!
