Right after Marco Wellisch’ birthday celebrations of last night, we are still in thoughts of the slightly carrying soundscapes and rhythms, which made it absolutely special and peaceful (also not to forget: the magical live-performance of Erich Lesovsky). Nevertheless, Marco packed some glorious tracks of that night into a perfectly mixed set, and slides on the smooth side through different genres. His musical knowledge and experience by clubbing, DJing and producing in various styles of electronic music with several aliases, is clearly perceptible. He’s a musiclover. Nowadays, he runs the label Klangwild Records. Enough said, let’s listen and enjoy now.

Everyone was on the streets with fireworks and it was loud because of all the explosions. But he was not afraid. He was just a part of this. He hold up his little sparkler and shake it like crazy. So intense as he possibly could or even stronger. And he was so small and the sparkler too. But he experienced the biggest and best there is on earth. He experienced the biggest and most beautiful on earth and he was a part of it. He never did anything in his life again that was so gigantic. 

I choose this vocal because I love the guy! His name isI was Frank Giering. He had such a special sad way of being which I could connect with easily. He is unfortunately dead. He died way to young.

I have- with my beloved Alter Ego Kaiser Souzai - created very danceable electronic music, rangeing from progressive tech to driving techno for the better half of the last decade, and I will continue to follow that path, but I also felt it was time to go back to my roots as a drummer, guitarist and analog musician in general and create music again that is not only looking at the dancefloor but can also be listened and dived into outside the late night techno mood. I wanted to be more experimental, play guitar, sing, play drums or have great vocal artists to work with me and create deep moments for eternal moods.
So I’m happy and proud to present my new project “The Purple Kaiser”. My first release “Spreeside” , a hommage at my hometown Berlin, is on the famous Bar 25 music label, which features “She knows” on vocals and a very nice N’to remix. A mix produced for GoatRanch.com's fourth annual Global Goa Party, which took place in 2014. The event was themed at 1995 and therefore featuring tracks only made up to and including that year. 

For this set, I wanted to go back to the 94-95 branch of 'Goa' where the feeling was more upbeat and bouncy, reflecting the sounds I was familiar with upon my entry into the scene in Tokyo in the Autumn of 1994. I feature some of the slower BPMs from the time, which didn't sound slow at all (the first three tracks here are 130 to 132 but don't sound it). With a mild shift to melodic and a hint of night-time depth, I aimed to keep the overall atmosphere UP, trippy, spacey, and fluffy.

Blue Room Released was an electronic music label founded by Simon Ghahary, the designer and founder of Blue Room Loudspeakers who was responsible for the design and identity of the "pod" speaker series.
