I composed this piece in 7/4 time, giving it a special balance and immense groove. The modal play brings the spirituality and esotericism I sought to express. The heptagram symbolizes harmony and perfection in many cultures.

I REMEMBER

Hey everyone, it's Ohnarp JANSON speaking, and I'm excited to share my latest track, "Knowing Isn't Enough," with you all. This piece has been years in the making, and I'm thrilled to finally release it in this version.

"Knowing Isn't Enough" is more than just a song for me; it's an exploration of the complexities of knowledge and understanding. The title is inspired by a quote from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, which suggests that true wisdom goes beyond mere awareness – it's about applying that knowledge in meaningful ways.

In this track, I've infused a heavy piano groove that forms the backbone of the piece. It's a rhythmic foundation that drives the momentum forward, allowing various instruments to take center stage and weave in and out of the arrangement.

Throughout the song, you'll notice several nods to different instruments, each representing a different aspect of the musical narrative. Hey there, it's Ohnarp JANSON, and I'm thrilled to introduce my latest composition, "Research on The 5 Elements." This piece is a unique exploration of rhythm, structured in five distinct tempos, and I've deliberately crafted it to feel incredibly spacious.

"The 5 Elements" draws inspiration from the ancient concept found in many traditions and philosophies around the world. These elements serve as the building blocks of the universe and are deeply intertwined with aspects of nature, human existence, and spirituality.

In this composition, I've aimed to reflect the essence of each of the five elements:

Earth: (rythmic session) Representing stability and solidity, earth symbolizes the foundation of life and embodies concepts of fertility, growth, and security.

Water: (Wurlie) With its associations to fluidity and emotion, water symbolizes purification, change, and transformation, inviting listeners to dive deep into introspection and consciousness.

Fire: (upright bass) Embodying warmth, light, and passion, fire signifies transformation, energy, and creative power. It ignites the spirit with will, determination, and action.

Air: (70s Analog sound) With its connection to breath, communication, and intellect, air symbolizes freedom, expansion, and mental awareness. It encourages thought, expression, and understanding.

Ether: (piano, of course) Sometimes referred to as the "fifth element," ether represents space, energy, and spirituality. It encompasses universal connection, cosmic consciousness, and transcends the material world.

Each element is delicately woven into the fabric of "Research on The 5 Elements," creating a symphonic tapestry that invites listeners on a profound introspection.

In this track, I wanted to capture the essence of this concept through music. It's a fusion jazz piece that pays homage to the sequences of hard bop and what we might call the modern jazz style, reminiscent of the pioneering work of Lennie Tristano. There's a lot happening in this piece, mirroring the complexity and depth of the title.
