This composition uses special BioSonic tuning forks tuned to the Fibonacci Series. The repeating ratios are 1/1, 1/2, 2/3, 3/5, 5/8, 8/13, 13/21, 21/34. The Fibonacci series is inherent in nature and listening to the composition will alter synaptic junction ratios resulting in greater creativity through the systematic exploration of alternate realities. The neurotransmitters that manifest within the synaptic junctions are similar to the spirit molecules found in mind altering drugs. However in this case there are no side effects and the listener has the opportunity to naturally expand creative horizons without risk.

Satie Sarabande #1 Improvisation

This is a musical conversation with Claude Debussy.  I am trained as a classical pianist, however my ear was always attuned to sounds beyond the bar lines. There came a time when I began to commune with composers who are no longer with us through their music. To this day every morning I wake up and play different composers who come to me using their music and my Steinway as a medium. These composers were pianists, and when I play their music my hands shape to their hands. I go into trance and we have conversations.

Planet Tunings is based on elliptical paths of planets converted into cycles per second based on one orbit around the Sun. 

Microtonal PlanetTunings

This is a live recording of John Beaulieu and Philippe Garnier playing the Planet and Asteroid Tuning Forks on March 2, 2013 at the SAGE Concert in Woodstock NY. The sounds are created by gently striking the tuning forks with crystals and gems which are attached to a pendulum. Each sound is chosen using divination and sounded by the crystal / gem stone used in the pendulum divination process. 

PlanetAsteroid Tuning Forks SAGE Concert

This is a live improvisation recording of 33 asteroids using 99 sampled tuning forks, 3 octaves for each asteroid. It is experimental and my interest is listening to the relationships based on neural synaptic entrainment to cosmic possibilities. The tunings are are derived from the orbital cycles of each asteroid reduced to seconds and mathematically converted to cycles per second and then raised 37 to 41 octaves into the range of human hearing.  

Asteroids

This is a live recording of the sounds of the planets mathematically calculated based on orbital cycles reduced to seconds and converted to cycles per second. The frequencies were raised 37 to 41 octaves into audibility and used to created planet tuning forks over a 5 octave range. The tuning forks were sampled and are played on a keyboard.
