Reggae: Bristol based Jonny Mintaka has been selecting and producing deep roots and steppas for 10 years. His home in the roots scene is Pressure Roots Hi Fi, selecting in dances alongside the likes of Aba Shanti I, Channel One, Dubkasm, Earl 16 & Nick Manasseh. Jonny Mintaka’s dubplates have been played by sound systems including Kibir La Amlak, O.B.F, Ballistik Rootical Sound & Welders Hi Fi to name just a few. 

African: Whether spinning hard Ghanaian funk, rocking makossa from Cameroon, Benga from Kenya, Congolese soukous or Cape Verde tropical bass, Jonny Mintaka’s dance floor is always bouncing! A love of African rhythms was consolidated by 2 months in Cameroon travelling with Baka musicians and he hasn’t looked back since, carefully building up an impressive vinyl collection. Based in Bristol, He’s also the resident DJ and one of the promoters for Apocalypso celebrating sail cargo and tropical dancefloor movement.

Yola is a critically acclaimed, 6 time Grammy Nominated artist, songwriter and actor from the U.K. based in the US  describes herself as “Musically Genre Fluid”.

Don Kipper are the multi-award winning ensemble led by the formidable Greek-Serbian singer Dunja Botic. Driven by an explosive rhythm section they create a powerful sound drawing from modern electronic Romani club music and bone-deep rural folk traditions. Together, their unique sound has become both a blazing homage to the folk cultures they love, and a fresh take on global dance music.
From their beginning in 2013 as a Klezmer band, Don Kipper have always been propelled by the deeply rooted music traditions of the balkans and Mediterranean. Today, they are super-charging these traditions, steeping their music in bass heavy beats, electronic sounds and synths.

The musical journey began back in the 90's, when wrap around shades and hi-top trainers came as a given. This man was never seen without wheels under his feet. The street culture of Hip Hop and Thrash Metal became as important as skating and trying to live an alternative life style in suburbia, UK. 

Fake I.D and good circle of friends soon moved him into London night clubs and UK festivals, where he grew a love for Drum and Bass. DJing and producing soon took over and it wasn't long before releases on Drum and Bass labels under the alias 'Adam Form' started emerging. These included remix's for Groove Armada and other big names. 

Being the home of his label, Bristol UK may have allot to answer for the change in musical output. Since choosing to reside here over 8 years ago and emerging himself in the many world sounds the city had to offer, a new alias, 'Rackabeat' was born. Mash-Up DJing with partner in crime Bar-Low soon got this man a reputation around the festival circuit and Bristol haunts. 

Whilst touring he teamed up with Solid Steel hero DJ Moneyshot to form 'The Allergies'. Winning over the hearts of the likes of Craig Charles and Kenny Dope, the duo have become prestigious in the world of Hip Hop and Funk. 

But, there is more time and more to give, and Rackabeat continues to provide through his own outlet. The journey is far from done...
