The sound bites in first 40 seconds that Vox made you track down on the internet?  Worth it.  It really amps up the rage before the guitar starts laying the smackdown.  It takes the song from 8 to 11.  Nice...frickin...work.  On all of it.

Tiger Girl is a testament to resilient women and the empowering effects they have on not just other women, but people altogether.

Think of a cross between Bowie’s ‘China Girl’ and Springsteen’s ‘Secret Garden’ with a callback to the ‘’voyeur’’ vibes of the Police’s ‘‘Every Breath You Take’‘ .

The story is as much about growth through a deeper connection with someone as it is about the hardness of growing apart and finally letting go.

It depicts a headstrong, feisty lead ‘’she’ll fight you while she’s being killed’’ that leaves her mark on all those who cross her path ‘’I’m not the last to tell…tell of her tale’’.

It’s also about a deeper understanding of closeness.
An introspective look at what it is to really know somebody, from the smell of their skin to the way their brain works.

This is about sensitivity and the power to own yourself .

It wouldn’t have been as complete or as authentic as it is right now without my ex’s permission to sample her real personal vocal messages that we exchanged at the time.
She has also been a major influence in the creation of this character.

I wanted to honor the fact that I got to live ‘’real thing’’.I feel that I’m in good company with such triumphant memories.

In truth, most people live and die without getting a whiff of what I am talking about.
Some don’t even know it exists.’’ 
I honestly could have kept going on writing and rewriting it since its conception in 2017,
but as 2022 ended without me delivering my yearly single and with the last days of the actual year of the Tiger approaching (ends 21st of Jan 2023), I felt it was time to let her go.
