Britton 'Mack the Shark' Anthony Cook is a Songwriter and Recording Artist originally from the San Fernando Valley in the County of Los Angeles, California. Hailing from the Northridge/Winnetka area (818) where he grew up Mack is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. Like a wild-man with wreckless abandon, the Shark serves a poetic-flow instilled in high-energy and captivated in life-evoking messages. His first album featuring his younger brother vocalist/songwriter/athlete Nicholas 'Ray Cook' , titled 'The ButterFly Effect' ( produced by ACQ Productions ) is rumored to release the mid-summer of 2012, followed by Mack the Shark's first solo album titled 'U.S.A. ( U Stand Alone' ) which is rumored to surface in completion the Fall of 2012. The 23-year old Artist explains his depiction of Music & Musicians; and what they are & mean to him:

" Music is intended to evoke emotion, I believe people who create music are Artists. So with the pupetteers being considered artists, i feel that music becomes an expression of a message or culture cultivated around the creators mood or the auroa he/she is trying to portray or share. It's alot more than composed sounds and vocals blended over percussion rhythms. And to me the words are more than lyrics, especially when you really sit down and analyze; breakdown what the Artist is trying show you. Even party themed records can be successful because of the creative freedom one has within the culture of music. So Music to me, as an Artist becomes film reel of the real-life expiriences I have personally endured, and witnessed through my connections with others, from family to friends and complete strangers; i draw inspirations from all aspects of being."

Britton "The Shark" Cook attended and graduated High School at the College Prepatory located in Mission Hills, California; Bishop Alemany High, a Catholic prep school on the East-end of the San Fernando Valley. He was a two sport Varsity athlete, where he played American Football and Basketball. He then was accepted to California State Monetery Bay, located on Fort Ord, in Seaside, California [ Northern Cali ]. In the pursuit of his dreams to play professional basketball, he transferred to play in San Diego, California at Palomar College ( Escondidi, Ca. ) and San Diego Mesa College. Before his Sophomore season began he moved back home to the San Fernando Valley after discovering a terminal illness regarding his father. The move and adjustment created a new avenue for The Shark to flourish in and explore, thus his musical talents powered by his emotions provided him with the momentum he needed to really consider Music as more than a hobby. After moving back from college, Mack sought out to find and build an empire of the strongest-willed and highest-skilled talents he could find, to assemble a collection of dreams and surround to himself with nothing less than positive energy and forward progress.

Young Mack the Shark is a California native and one of the founders of the emerging Production company/Media group " Acquired Taste Club " ; A community of Music Producers, Artists and Musicians, home-based in Pacoima, California established in the Summer of 2010. The Acquired Taste Productions Team; known as: "The Extraordinary Gentlemen" compose tracks/records in almost all of the popular genres known within today's music industry. Having produced works for many of the up&coming Artists in the vast LA County pool of talent. Young Mack the Shark is one of the more storied and glorified Artists affiliated with ACQ because of his consistency in progress and humility. He is described to be as one of the most humble-talents, and easiest Artists to work with from the 818 area. His hard work ethic began to pay dividends in the Fall of 2011 when Mack the Shark helped to sell out a crowd with Dr. Dre & Aftermath's Kendrick Lamar; where after it has been rumored that the Shark is a Warner Bros. sought talent. He records his compositions at the ACQ studio in Pacoima, Ca. as well as in Calabasas, Ca. with 'Foxx City' , a music Record Label powered and founded by triple-threat talent and award-winning Jaime Foxx. Further rumored in regards to the Shark, ACQ plans to begin negotiations on a contract with Mack before the Summer of 2012 and his [EP] album Release.

The Shark is currently an un-signed songwriter/vocalist and self-proclaimed 'Movie Music General' marqueed for his in-tolerant attitude towards all oppositions, dynamic ability and versatility, and his intellectual sarcasm; satire meets truth in a harsh reality perspective. Sounds like alternative jazz fusion + poetic hip-hop. Young Mack describes his genre as "Movie Music". He has been composing music for 5 years now and recording/performing live for 3 calendar years. Has served as opening acts for Artists: Kendrick Lamar ( Aftermath Entertainment ) & The Game ( Aftermath Entertainment )
