I’m going to make this short and, well, probably not so sweet.

The music in this piece hits the nail on the head. 

It has growling, it has beating, it has rhythm.

All of this comes together with a repeated musical phrase which ties it all together. Excellent.

Unfortunately, I’m not so keen on the lyrics. 

They seem to come from the school of “be reasonable – do what I say.”

Sadly, this does reflect the way more than a few well known blues songs pose relationships as oppositional.

I don’t find this “upbeat” at all.
