I have a few tapes that my dad made by John Muri most at the detroit fox. Didn't have a tree house growing up i had the fox for my play house and i loved it and working on the the organ and tuning it by ear. But The navy gave me the chance to see many theaters on the west coast too many to list have photos most in CA.         os

I spent the entire recording session in the solo chamber sitting on a milk crate staring at the tibia trem [with the muffler off]  ready to give it a nudge to start.   It would stop once in awhile. Muri knew how to milk that tibia

Reportedly the last time the Hollywood Theatre (Detroit) Barton organ was played, March of 1959. Detroit church organist and former theatre organist John McCreary is heard first, at the 14:00 mark Bill Peck takes over and is a little more peppy.
