"Show Me" rolls into deeper, hypnotic drum and bass at 174 bpm, offering a tunnel vision journey through sound. The track’s rolling sub-movement flows like an undercurrent, while minimal, twisted basses weave in and out, adding layers of tension. Catchy, upfront synth hooks cut through the atmosphere, bringing a touch of brightness to the moody soundscape. The two-step, punchy drums keep the rhythm tight and driving, creating a sleek, minimal groove. A vocal sample—"show me the way"—echoes through the mix, guiding listeners through a sonic future cityscape, where shadows meet neon lights.

A mix i did as a bit of a practice for an event i played held in honour of Marcus, felt i should share it as a tribute. Tracks aren't all by Marcus, or even all on his labels, but it's all picked because it reminds me of him, and of the Soulution sound. Still greatly missed, sending love to all the rest of you out there missing him, and anyone else you've lost for that matter too   x

REVIEWS.

UK dubstep label Annihilate Audio drop the pressure with this new release from John Matrix. But before you exclaim "isn't John Matrix Arnie's character in Commando?", it's not that John Matrix, but this one does have some serious production muscle nonetheless though. There are three bangers here, all capable of individually slaying an entire private militia, and combined probably a whole army. "Trinidad Scorpion" is a stern tribal belter, "Dog Eat Dog" is a metallic machine gun assault and finally "Temple Dweller" is all moody atmospherics and tambla freakouts. Killer.
