This album was inspired by places along a month-long road trip in 2023, including Iowa, South Dakota, Montana, and Utah. Mixing field recordings taken along the way with electronic beats, modular synths, and samples. This is the first Field Notes EP in a series of 3.

The inhabitants were vibrant, queer, skin like gossamer fabrics scintillating in the dim crimson glow. They whispered, touched, kissed, occasionally rising to dance and find wordless encounters on the dancefloor. We too fell into the groove; curious about, infatuated by, our newfound comrades in rhythm. Hours passed as quickly as the rain silently poured outside. With the break of day through the clouds, the beat swelled. It was then we realized this was only a prelude, the merging of afters and befores; the real party was just beginning."
