Over 31 Consecutive years as an Austin resident DJ. Currently residing at Austin's largest LGBTQ club Highland Lounge and Dj and creator of Highland Lounge's Basement on Friday and Saturday nights.

Born and raised in the westside of San Antonio Texas.  It’s always been for me the love of music, since I was a kid.  At the Age of twelve I got a job selling news papers and I got my first Techniques 1200’s and a Radio Shack mixer, lol.  From there on, it’s history I have been passionate about House and music in general, since the late 80’s and 90’s.  I would literally lock myself in my bedroom, learning about music production and beat mixing.  It was really fun and frustrating at times but when I mastered the skill - it was all worth it. I’ve been in the music industry for a very long time.  Here I go again, I’m putting 100% into music production.  I literally retired from my regular job to do what I love best - music!  I will continue to learn and grow in this industry.  Hope my work brings you and others joy as you listen to any of my beats and just maybe some dancing on the dance floor. Spinning since the days of vinyl back in 1994-Rich Jones,(aka-Thee Filth, DJ Filthy, Genome Project)-Winner of several Dj of the year awards and Resident Dj at RAIN ON 4TH, Austin's hottest dance club since 2004. Also I am one of the after hours Dj at Kingdom nightclub every first and third Friday of the month. I have played along some influential talent throughout the years and honestly there are too many to name. Spinning with Dj Sasha, Swedish House Mafia, and Bob Sinclar were by far the most memorial events (Winter Music Conference at Set Night Club-South Beach Florida 2010). As an artist, I have releases on iTunes, Beatport, and Traxsource under my aliases Thee Filth and Genome Project. THEE FILTH'S "THE MOTHERLAND" EP is my latest production work which is all afrobeat house will be released 6/5/12 on Beatport.com. I have not had a weekend off from spinning since 1994 and I plan to keep it that way...One love and "MAY THEE FILTH BE WITH YOU"
