I have been experimenting with sounds since I was really young , when I was about 6 or 7 years old, after lots of pleading, from me, I managed to get my hands on a very old reel to reel tape machine, that everyone thought I was too young to have, and I discovered and loved recording. 
I played guitar and wrote songs in a indie punky band ,toured, made albums and worked in Studios. Now I work from my home studio in SW Germany,  using synths, groove boxes, guitars and vocals to produce electronic music. I also produce images through photography and  make ceramic sculpture.

En un pequeño suburbio de la CDMX un niño soñaba con tener una orquesta para él solo. Descubrió que dentro de una computadora había sonidos infinitos. Shil es el resultado de las noches posteriores a ese descubrimiento. 

Sin géneros, ofreciendo una oda a sus deidades y fiel al sonido primordial... Shil explora el piano, sonidos orquestales, electrónicos  y tradicionales. 

En 2010 lanza un primer sencillo para piano "It was you". En 2012 su primer EP homónimo instrumental que actualmente se encuentra en re-producción.

En 2022, el sencillo "Borderline" llega como un manifiesto dialéctico instrumental que proyecta la mera esencia del compositor. Un tributo a una deidad y un regalo al niño que soñaba con una orquesta para él solo.

In a small suburb of Mexico City, a kid dreamed of an orchestra all for himself. One day he discovered that inside a computer there were infinite sounds. Shil is the result of the nights after that discovery. 

Without genres, offering an ode to his deities and true to the primordial sound... Shil explores piano, orchestral, electronic and traditional sounds.

In 2010 he released a first single for piano "It was you" and in 2012 his first self-titled instrumental EP which is currently in re-production.

In 2022, the single "Borderline" arrives as an instrumental dialectical manifesto that projects the very essence of the composer. A tribute to a deity and a gift to the boy who dreamed of an orchestra all to himself.

Songs: We find them unpainted in our hands, throw them up into the air of our imagination, turning them in the colours we see after we close our eyes until they feel just right, and sometimes we catch them perfectly, without blemishing them...

I work in different styles, as the inspiration, dreams or bubonic plagiarism comes! I use Logic Pro X on Mac.
 
I write, produce and play all my own stuff (unless otherwise stated), play vintage Tokai Strats mainly, PRS Torero, Steinberger, Gretsch G2627T, Classical, Fender Dreadnought, Yamaha and Rickenbacker basses, keyboards and sax. I use Native Instrument's Komplete, Omnisphere 2 and my own organic samples.

I mix on Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's and HD 650's (closed and open headphones) when not making a bigger noise through my Yamaha HS8 studio monitors. I use Focusrite Clarett 2Pre ThunderBolt and Apogee audio interfaces, Neumann & iSK condenser & AKG dynamic mics.
