Originally from Connecticut, he has worked in Nashville with established songwriters including Grammy nominee Mary Ann Kennedy, Lucia Nazzaro, Erik Halbig, Don Goodman, Rich Alves (Pirates of the Mississippi), Megan Conner and Jon Conley. In addition to writing, he is a physician and tireless champion of the environment and ethical treatment of animals. Dr. Stea has served with distinction in the US Military and has received the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal from the National Guard for his work in Preventive Medicine and Public Health.
