Amazing to to see you all here again and super excited to unfold another musical story in our weekly gathering. 
I want every mix to sound a little different so that we have a fresh story, so this week I’m going to hide your comments (not in a rude way) so that you can hear how I would play if was doing one of my regular jamming sessions at home, often these session take me in some weird and wonderful places as I’m testing/experimenting what will work and how to place it in my set, I get a little more experimental and daring and I want you to experience this too.

At these uncertain times the first thing you take care of is your family and I’m no different. Currently with no gig income or government support for our JOOF company, this effects many within the JOOF office family and I’m doing my best to ensure we all make it through this. Many of you are organically sending me messages wanting to send donations as a thanks for my live broadcasts, I think this is a great idea to distribute amongst the JOOF office family to keep them afloat.

John 00 Fleming - JOOF Session 004

I was 12 years old in 1983 when I heard Kraftwerk "Tour de France". It had a profound impact on me. I was drawn toward music that used synths before that. Pink Floyd, The Cars, Gary Numan, etc. but Kraftwerk was different. I was taught break dance moves from some of the older kids on my street and we would put on shows at school fairs. A year later (1984) I was introduced to The Cure (Pornography and The Top) and again, this music would have a profound effect on me. From there, I started going clubbing and the floodgate of post punk, new wave and industrial music opened up and I found myself. The third artist that gripped me was Bill Leeb (Front Line Assembly, Delirium) in 1987. Since my roots are in dancing, my place is on the dancefloor. However, I wanted to HAVE the music, so I'm a collector, as well. I was always known for having the newest tracks before anyone else, except the professional djs, of course. And even helped a close friend launch his career as a dj (1990) as he taught himself how to spin using my vinyl (and some of his own). As the music progressed, so did I. From acid house, house, early rave, gabber, ambient, techno, dnb, jungle, trip hop, speed garage, prog. house, breaks, trance, psy trance, prog. breaks, electro & dub step I've amassed my collection and knowledge. I'm not a very good DJ but I have dabbled in that, at times, to reminisce about the past. Preferably on vinyl as I'm not tech savvy. I once had aspirations to produce music and be a part of electronic music's evolution around 1993 but was sidelined by other aspects of life. Electronic music has been the center of my world for 42 years and I'm soooo grateful that I had the opportunity to live thru its evolution. My mood generally dictates what I listen to and there is always something that fits whatever mood I'm in. That's the beauty of electronic music. I do miss the old days of clubbing and the illegal rave parties in the early 90's. I'm not one to frequent festivals, as it doesn't have the intimacy of a small, dank, smoke filled club or a crusty warehouse that the cops could show up at any minute. But I have  seen most of my favorite DJs and been to concerts of my favorite artists thru the years. It's all about the music...

John 00 Fleming is an artist who has achieved international success in a career spanning over 30 years without dishonouring his musical essence or fans. A DJ that's known for his music knowledge, a proven musical pioneer and a leader.

His ability to constantly move forward musically has kept him on the cutting edge frontline of the electronic world throughout his career gaining resect from peers along with building a cult following as he continues to break boundaries of electronic music and genres making him one of the most unique DJ’s on this planet seeing him perform across multiple genres events, yet keeping his integrity in tact with what fans call ‘The JOOF Sound’. The JOOF sound is as unpretentious as the artist, and is best described as deep textured and hypnotic. Performing regularly at the likes of CreamVields festival, EDC festivals, BOOM Festival, Ozora festival, Tomorrowland along with a huge list of clubs from Ministry of Sound, Avalon and Zouk shows just how diverse his attraction is.

As a music producer John’s esteem within the industry has garnered respect from electronic luminaries like Jean Michael Jarre and Muse and while humbly accepting peer endorsement he continues to let his production skills do the talking. Following the release of his artists albums ‘Nine Lives’ and ‘One.hundred.ten WKO’, John switched his focus to scoring for major TV networks and Vilms, working alongside The Royal Philharmonic orchestra at the famed Abbey Road studios, London (home of The Beatles) where his work has featured in numerous movies.

The world of all things JOOF continues to Vlourish with demand for branded JOOF Events, JOOF Radio, JOOF Recordings celebrating 25 years milestones along with an artist album planned for 2023.
