Started out as singer/bassist in Valve signed to Manchester record label Pleasure (Jane Weaver/Magic/Gabrielle's Wish). Next up was Fraction on Faith&Hope Records (Mint Royale/Alpinestars/National Forest). After a sabbatical writing films I realised I also had a backlog of scraps of songs that just wouldn't leave me alone. So now I've been recording these demos in my tiny 'studio' I affectionately call The Matchbox. Edward Upward X
