Matt Veloce is a disco & funky house producer and DJ in the Minneapolis music scene. Matt began deejaying UK Garage/2-step in 1999 when he was only 18 years old, under the moniker Signore Veloce. He was a founding member of the Steppers Alliance collective, and a co-owner of Alliance Recordings. After a hiatus to focus on school, Matt returned to music, focusing on his first musical love: house music.

Matt's passion has always been writing and producing music – he began teaching himself to produce music in his bedroom when he was only 15 years old. His work remained under the radar until 2009, when his single "Let’s Get Some Love" was signed to Terrence Parker's label, Parker Music Works, and it received support from respected names like Luke Solomon, Tedd Patterson, Jason Hodges, Jimpster and Bobby & Klein. Building upon subsequent releases on Parker MusicWorks (like the well-received "Woman From Moscow") and remix work on Alphabet Music for Dutch house music veteran Tommy Largo, Matt recently released his four-track "Rainy Days" EP on GrooveTraxx, a record label focused on funky/disco house music, managed by Bartosz Brenes and Le Babar.

Matt has also been an active promoter in Minneapolis in recent years. In 2008, Matt formed Loud+Clear Productions with Aaron Litschke. In 2009, Loud+Clear became a regular fixture at First Avenue's BLACK, and Matt would remain a resident DJ at First Avenue for over 3 years. In the summer of 2012, Matt launched a new promotional project, Soul Identity, focusing on soulful, deep and disco house music. During his time at First Avenue with Loud+Clear and Soul Identity, Matt was instrumental in bringing a number of heavy hitters in house and techno to Minneapolis: Todd Edwards, Paul Johnson, Drumcell, Gene Farris, Stacy Kidd, Audio Injection, Mike Huckaby, Terrence Parker, Terry Mullan, Chuck Love, Pezzner, Skoozbot and many others.

Mike Holiday stumbled upon the local underground electronic music scene in his hometown in the early 90s.  He became immediately submerged in the sounds of the second wave of Detroit Techno experiencing it's pioneers nearly every night of every week for many years.   

Moving to Alaska to pursue a life long dream of big mountain and back country alpine skiing, Mike quickly realized there was a void in his life. He was missing those pulsating sounds of Detroit!  Mike picked up some 1200s and spent some time building a record collection and honing his skills.  

Mike brought the underground sounds of Detroit to the Alaskan north where the people were receptive and dance floors filled.  Mike Holiday launched the first Alaskan techno label producing the first techno EP in the state on his Cannibal Records label.  Through his life's work and travels, Mike has always remained true to the sounds of the Detroit Underground. His goal is to share the secrets of Detroit with the dance floors he comes across with one ear directed at the underground and the other on the dance floor.  

Now a Phoenix resident Mike hopes to share his vision of the underground sounds of Detroit with the valley of the sun.

Working with drum machines and sequencers since 1993 and turn tables since 1995 passion for music has long been a driving factor for Mike Holiday.
