Paulie Carbine has a long and rich history on the Brisbane music scene. It began in the 80s playing guitar for 'Lolita Carbine' and fronting punk trio 'Spaghetti Western'.
Then in the early 90s he fronted the second incarnation of 'Lolita Carbine' supporting interstate acts around QLD and released album 'Self Tilted' recorded by Leroy Bath at Broken Toys studio, off which the single 'Head' was released to compilation album 'Burning the Story bridge'. Several songs were played on JJJ and ZZZ radio. The video for 'Spin World Spin' was broadcast on ABC Rage.
In the late 90s he played guitar for folk rock outfit 'The Subterraneans' and fronted indie band 'The Reverse Vampires' playing festivals and venues along the east coast, both bands released self titled albums recorded by Jeff Lovejoy at Red Zeds studios. Several songs were played on JJJ and ZZZ radio.
During the early 00s he took more of a backstage approach as a roadie for Big Day Out.
From 05 - 08 he fronted Indie band 'The Madhappies', touring Newcastle and Sydney on the back of their praised album 'Bad Motivator' recorded by Emerson Bavington at Airlock studios.
Several songs were played on JJJ and ZZZ radio. The video for 'A Dying Breed' was broadcast on ABC Rage.
Currently Paulie is a solo artist with a talented pool of freinds he employs to help him realize his sound.
