I remember this weekend. We drove up from London with Anton and Vikas from Main Source Promotion. We hired a car for the journey. We did this radioshow, we met Marcus Intalex (i think it was) on his record store in some market upstairs. Our actual gig was in an internet cafe. Remember this was 97, so the internet was something quite odd... people drinking coffee on computers, very bizarre environment...

‘Pixilate’ opens with heaving washes of heavenly old skool synths. Crisp and icy, it’s galvanised with 20 years of spine-tingling, sense-sapping rush memories. Don’t get too caught up in a rave reverie, though; just as you think you’ve caught your breath, the slamming breakbeats and mischievous precision pinched bassline barge into the mix, causing instant chaos. Slamming and slapping your floor into oblivion, it’s a reminder of just how spellbinding breakbeat can be when it’s conjured by the right men. 

Inspired by the supreme energy and raw power of the original, label bosses Aquasky get stuck in on the remix flex. Driven by a thundering drum arrangement and garnished with a smattering of timeless acid, the genre-defining trio give the track a deeper makeover by way of a series of riffs and sub-lines. A fusion of top-end hooks and gritty low-end muscle, their distinctive delivery runs the gamut of dancefloor dynamics teasing and pleasing with trademark Aquasky attitude.

This was a fun gig... i remember the bloke climbing up the tent pole (bloody massive pole) and security turning off the music till he got down. Last thing you want is Freddy shouting at ya in front of thousands of people. He got down lol!

Check for the impromptu version of the 'War' tune we did with Freddy back in 2002 from our album 'Stayfresh' on Moving Shadow. The lyrics still have meaning in 2013!

Yeah, this was a fun gig... and i drank plenty of Black Rat cider :-/

We were asked by the lovely Annie Nightingale to do a 30min DJ set live from Glastonbury on Radio 1 in 2005. We wrote the Radiohead booty exclusively for the show. I got the idea for the 'Open Your Eyes' vocal whilst watching a film, but I cant remember what the film was called... Maybe 'I Love Huckerbies' or something??? No idea now... but it worked so well on this tune. We then kicked it with our Meat Katie collab which was an exclusive as well... we followed that with Mylo bootleg we also knocked up for the show... 

This was followed by a tune we collabed with Phil Hartnoll of Orbital on that came out on Passenger on the Teamplayers album. This was followed by a track we did called 'Boom' (record skipped on that one - keepin it old school yall!) which was suppose to go on our 'Stayfresh' album on Moving Shadow but we didnt have room for it, so we released it on 777 with a Breakfastaz remix on the flip.

Last up was a collab we did ElHornet from Pendulum called 'Girls & Boys' which was also on Teamplayers. And yes, it was totally rammed in that tent. I remember looking out and seeing the Breakfastaz and Inchie from Control Z (PYRAMID) as well as two of my old mates Craig and Chris from legendary rap crew Killa Instinct.

This Glasters was I think the wettest on record. The tent we played in was struck by lightening an hour after we finished. My tent that night got flooded and was left at the site. My sleeping bag and all my clothes soaked. I remember the next morning seeing a man in a canoe going across the site. And to this day I wonder... "who thinks to lug a bloody canoe to Glastonbury???"
