Description

Latoya Black also known as Latty was born in Hanover Jamaica in 1990. she was born into a family with a love of music and also musicians. She started singing at a young age at school functions and also church choirs, and has always had the passion for music. 

One good thing about music when it hits you feel no pain. Is her favourite quote writing and sang by Bob Marley which is a very big inspiration in her life.

Latoya's style is a unique blend of soulful R'n'B, and pop, with influences ranging from Rock to Reggae, and Hip hop to Gospel. She has already developed a collection of her own tracks, and is looking forward to recording and releasing more.

Latoya is currently furthering her experience in music with the acclaimed Access To Music Course. She is aiming to expand her skill set and collaborate with other musicians.

Chris has been DJ’ing for over 25 years, playing in bars and clubs around the country.
He specialises in house music of all genres, ranging from House Classics, Deep House, Funky House, Disco and Tech House. His vast experience see’s Chris playing at many different venues and nights and adapts to the crowd with ease. He’s booked as a warm up DJ or main slot DJ which proves his versatility in the DJ’ing world.
After winning the Evolve DJ competition at Digital in 2008, Chris won a slot to warm up in the main room at Digital, Newcastle, beating 8 other DJ’s in the final, playing his unique style of house music.
Chris’ vast experience has seen him play in various bars and clubs across the North East, including Tall Trees (Yarm) The Empire (Middlesbrough) Digital (Newcastle) and Gatecrasher (Leeds). Chris has also played in clubs in London and in Europe.
Chris held a residency for Retro, warming up for Paul Taylor and has also worked with Hed Kandi, KissDafunk and GoodGreef. 
He also co runs a night in Darlington at Avalon, called Terrace Sessions which has seen the likes of Darius Syrossian, Wade, Detlef, Flasmob, Denney, Danny Rampling, Raffa FL, Jacky and many more to grace the open air Terrace. Chris has also co-run a night called ‘Back in the Day’ oldskool events at Avalon too, with guests DJ Spen, Grant Nelson, Marshall Jefferson Jeremy Healy, Allister Whitehead and Graeme Park and lots more. The last few years has seen Chris play at a few festivals in the area and has been involved in organising a couple of events too
Chris also co-run conCept house events at Seen in Darlington, with stella guests such as Denney, Patrick Topping,  A Lister , Flashmob, Waze & Odyssey and Sonny Fodera
Chris has remixed and produced a couple of tracks a few years ago and they were played on radio stations U.K wide including tracks played out on the Hed Kandi Radio show.
You can catch Chris playing at Avalon most weeks where he's been a resident for 11 years now and their weekly Terrace parties bring people in from around the area and together with co-resident Paul Stoker the two have given many a new DJ a platform for them to start out in the DJ world

Xaanti moves away from the tropical house vibes with a track entitled 'The Lessons Of Life' which sees the Xaanti sound evolve. Built around seductive vocals and a mysterious nomadic chant, 'The Lessons Of Life' continues Xaanti's journey into exploring different musical directions.

'Rescue Me' debuted in the summer of 2016. It got back to the tropical house sound with everything you would expect in place, a melody that refuses to leave your head, a soaring vocal and a distinctly European flavour that will have you ready to party and hit the beach!

'I Could Love You' debuted early 2016 and is an excursion into a more chilled sound, a move away from the tropical house style of the last two tracks. Complete with a nineties styled bassline and sensual French vocals, 'I Could Love You' shows Xaanti's diversity and ability to shift between genres without compromising on quality or originality.

The Xaanti Music History:

'The One' by Xaanti was supported by DJ Quintino (Spinnin' Records/DJ Mag Top 100) and has helped cement Xaanti as one of the front runners in the sound of tropical house music for 2015. 

It follows up Xaanti's recent remix for the Freemasons 'True Love Survivor'.

Xaanti's debut single 'My Heart' was signed to the Freemaison record label, broke the UK club top 20 and made the Cool Cuts top 10.

As a forward thinking newcomer, Nellie Recordings has swiftly been acclaimed as one of those labels that stand the test of time. With support from some of the strongest names on the scene, and an ever growing network – Nellie distinguishes itself by having a brilliant connection with the signed artists and a never-ending dialogue towards the rest of the world.

Starting off as a small label with an alignment towards a broad variety of trance music, more focus was given to the world of progressive house. With new management Nellie quickly showed off its strength by skillful A&R and thereby signing artists that really did a stir within the scene.

Nellie is boasting itself as the label where classic structures of progressive house and trance meet up to create surprising, yet eye-opening results. The traditional values and considerations around electronic music are taken out for a spin before being released on Nellie – hence the ambition to highlight a catalogue of releases that can’t be compared to anything else.

Always striving towards publishing the most authentic of cuts, the goal is to be home for future classics and present bombs that shine with quality and fullness throughout the whole spectrum of sounds, from the deepest bottom to the most sparkling highs. That’s what Nellie Recordings is all about.
