Voici le premier single de James & The Wanderers – "Reprendre la route".
Sorti en 1991, bien avant "Évasions salées" (1999), ce morceau trace déjà la ligne de fuite d’un projet plus vaste, une odyssée musicale sur le mouvement, les détours, et la quête de soi.

Sous le ciel lourd du Sud et dans la moiteur des bayous, James & The Wanderers allument une prière en blues, portée par une voix éraillée, des guitares pleines de poussière, et des mots qui sentent l’errance, le silence, et la lumière au bout du détour.
Entre les échos de Creedence Clearwater Revival et la tension ballade d’un Tony Joe White, 
ce titre est le premier cri d’une route intérieure, le feu de camp d’un départ sans retour.
