Questa poesia-canzone è nata come un’offerta lirica al tempo – non al tempo che misuriamo con gli orologi, ma a quello che sentiamo nella pelle e nella memoria. Gli anni passano è una meditazione sonora sulla fragilità che resiste, sulla nostalgia che illumina senza paralizzare, sui colibrì come messaggeri di altre vite e di altre battaglie.

Ogni immagine è sorta come una visione, come un’eco ancestrale che tocca la radice e il futuro. La canzone si regge su contrasti: il selvaggio e il tenero, il fuoco e il ghiaccio, la rosa e la cenere. È una danza tra ciò che muore e ciò che ancora canta.

L’ho composta come chi scrive alla propria infanzia da una trincea invisibile. Forse per questo il vento, i guerrieri, la speranza intrecciata sono più che simboli: sono i veri abitanti del poema. Perché finché gli anni passeranno… ci saranno ancora voci che, come questa, torneranno a nominare ciò che abbiamo amato.
