Marc Lamarche's journey into the world of electronic music began in an unconventional manner, with a childhood environment equipped not with the strings of a classical guitar as his father had envisioned, but with the keys of a Technics keyboard and the beats of a drum machine. This early start, combined with nine years of music theory, set the stage for a unique exploration into sound creation and manipulation.

His venture into music wasn’t shaped by the conventional routes of instrument mastery but by an innate curiosity and a pioneering spirit that found its expression through the endless possibilities of electronic sounds. Marc's compositions are a rich tapestry of rhythm and melody, where traditional boundaries are blurred, and new experiences are created.

Drawing from a palette that includes hypnotic rhythms, sometimes with oriental influences, and almost tribal beats, Marc's work aims to engage listeners in a journey, not just to hear but to explore the nuanced layers of his soundscapes.

With a foundation in music theory, Marc has embraced this knowledge not as a limitation but as a springboard for creativity in IDM creation. He sees every note and beat as an opportunity to innovate, to challenge, and to communicate through the universal language of Music.

Marc remains committed to his craft, always pushing the boundaries of what's possible in electronic music. With each composition, he aims to offer not just a piece of music but an auditory experience that resonates on a profound level with his audience.

(Quick note: I've taken nearly a 12 year hiatus from music due to dealing with life events and personal struggles, but I'm back, and I am now preparing to re-emerge as my FINAL FORM with a new name change to FIT!)

ABOUT ME:
I'm an EDM producer with live performance aspirations. I make the kind of music I WANT to listen to. There's so many amazing artists out there and the world of electronic music is a truly fascinating, inspiring, and colorful world that I've been getting lost in since I was a preteen. I love blending elements of Dubstep/Riddim/MidTempo, Electro, House, Complextro, Hardstyle, Trap, Chiptunes, and Synthwave/Cyberpunk. I'm drawn to intricate synthwork and basslines that weave and play off one another with a STRONG focus on melody. Occasionally pure genres emerge in my work but the majority of my songs are pretty much hybridized blends of whatever is inspiring me at the time.

In 2010, DJ Azek together with partner in crime DJ Instinct founded the Phatfunk Bangkok massive, which has grown as one of the leading Drum & Bass night in the Asian metropolis. Recently, DJ Azek and friends have also launched The Boom-Bap, a night dedicated to non-mainstream quality Hip-Hop and Kontraband, a weekly event dedicated to deep liquid D&B in Bangkok.

Influenced by the sounds of labels like Exit, Soul:r, 31 Records, or Critical Recordings, Azek’s sets range from deep to soulful. Such a musical energy has seen Azek busting tunes alongside international DJs such as Goldie, DJ Marky, dBridge, Marcus Intalex, Calibre, Lenzman, Alix Perez, Sabre, Sam Binga, Om Unit, The Ragga Twins, or Doc Daneeka to name but a few.
