"The latest Lucidflow release sees a change of mood and pace for the Berlin based imprint. Most associated with dub infused soundtracks, the pairing of Marcus Sur and Mark Jackus season the label with a liberal sprinkling of Komische musik on the 'Glow' EP. The friendship of the duo is one that spans 20 years, with a history of playing at the Gold Club in Essen.
Wilting detuned arpeggios, off-kilter chords that suddenly lurch out like a "jump scare" and a tempo that is squarely set to 'chug', 'Glow' is quite a departure for Lucidflow. However the beats are tight and driving, which gives it an early evening heater feel, constructed with orange embers and endearing warmth.
Companion track 'Ashes and Snow' is a nuclear winter in comparison, featuring frozen strings, analogue swells and crystalline scales. It is taut and sincere, something to maintain mid-set momentum and entrance you in its thrall.
Remix duties are handled by Serbian producer Dejan Milicevic. He tackles 'Glow' by shifting the key and fraying the edges a little. You'll pick up the threads of analogue hiss, the urgency of groove infused hi-hats, and the rhythmic tumble that comes with focusing on syncopation and triplets.

Anathema's label-boss Fec is back in business teaming up with Producer/Vocalist, Haptic from Newcastle, Australia. Remixes curated by Italian-born DJ & Producer, Dario Dea; and Amsterdam's DJ/Producer, Yoram.

Fantasy In Our Reality (Original Mix feat. Haptic) is paced by a break-beat and tripped-out keys incorporating Haptic’s sweet and subtle vocals. John Monkman makes a highly anticipated return to the spotlight with ‘Meta’.

Meta is an experiment, paving the way for a new kind of release format that embraces the new world of the NFT.  
There will be two versions of ‘Meta’ released; The original - Extended Mix, that is limited to 50 copies and available  to download and stream exclusively as an NFT, as well as a shorter mix of the track -  available to stream and download on all DSP’s.

Monkman says:

 “NFT’s are reshaping/turning things upside down. They offer endless possibilities of how to release music whilst creating new ways to engage with the community…things were getting a little stale, so I’m excited to see where this new technology takes us”

Released on his imprint Beesemyer Music, Meta showcases Monkman’s love of intricate, far-out modular sounds. The track is fused with an other-wordly vocal and follows on from his highly revered single ‘Ecstasis’, co-produced with Pete Tong and released on Maceo Plex’s label Ellum.

Asked how the track came about, Monkman says:

“the track started as a live jam on the Buchla Easel - after recording multiple  takes, the main challenge was trying to make sense of the chaos - there’s a lot going on  - the vocals really help in grounding the track’.

John Monkman stands at the forefront of the global electronic music scene. Known for his dynamic performances and cutting-edge studio productions, Monkman has earned a reputation as both a live music pioneer and a master of sound design.

Affiliated with some of the most prestigious labels in electronic music, including Kompakt, Ellum, Beesemyer Music, Siamese, and Anjunadeep, Monkman delivered the spellbinding track Siren for Kompakt and collaborated with Pete Tong on Ecstasis for Maceo Plex's Ellum Audio. His releases, such as the Komplex EP on Anjunadeep and the versatile Tune In Turn On EP for Ellum, highlight his remarkable range. With two Beatport number ones—his remix of Solomon Grey's Twilight and his single Don’t Have to Be Beautiful—Monkman has further cemented his influence on the global electronic music scene.

Equally compelling is Monkman’s remix portfolio. His remix of U Love for Sasha’s LNOE 100th release, supported by Patrice Bäumel and Sasha, showcases his creative versatility. His rework of Space Date by Adam Beyer and Green Velvet for Drumcode demonstrates the respect he commands within the industry. Monkman has also been remixed by Moby. In 2023, he reunited with Pete Tong for an official remix of Duran Duran's Give It Up, marking another standout moment in his career.

On the live stage, Monkman’s impact is undeniable. He has headlined festivals like the UK’s Noisily Festival, brought his live set to the Ozora Festival in Hungary, and performed at the Anjunadeep Festival in Albania. His recent achievements include headlining Rainbow Serpent 2021. The debut of John Monkman: Live at Coachella 2018 with The DoLab was a pivotal moment, revealing his innovative approach to live performance.

The year 2024 has been a defining chapter for Monkman. His latest live show, Pulse, premiered in Paris through a collaboration with Collectif Scale, breaking new ground with its kinetic light art installation. Filmed in a Paris warehouse on July 6th, this show delivers an immersive audiovisual experience that pushes creative boundaries. In the same year, Monkman released Khord on Anjunadeep, followed by three singles—Vader, Roller Vox, and MAYA—on Beesemyer Music.
