Felix Tani is a pianist and composer based in the south of Sweden, where the tranquil landscapes inspire his deep, introspective, and powerful music. His work merges serene Swedish melodies with the syncopated, swinging rhythms of jazz, creating a sound that embodies the essence of Scandinavian Jazz. This genre brings together the peace and humanity of Nordic landscapes with the vibrant energy of urban culture, offering listeners an experience like being embraced by a rich tapestry of cinematic, classical, and folk sounds.

Since his teens, Felix has worked professionally as a musician, performing across various genres such as jazz, classical, and pop. His collaborations span a wide range of esteemed artists, including Bernt Rosengren, Tomas Franck, Anders Bergcrantz, John Ellis, Kleerup, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Joshua Redman, Billy Hart, Jennifer Brown, Claudia Campagnol, Manfred Mann, Robyn, Cameron Brown, Joe Dyson, Antonio Hart, Victor Lewis, Vivian Buczek, Pete Van Nostrand, Karl-Martin Almkvist, Jonas Kullhammar, Håkan Broström, and Max Schultz, among others.

Music has always been a sanctuary for Felix—a place of magic and exploration throughout the various stages of his life. He honed his craft at The Royal College of Music in Stockholm under the guidance of mentors like Ove Lundin, Jan Lundgren, and Hans Pålsson, and furthered his studies at The Abby Whiteside Foundation in New York with Sophia Rosoff, Barry Harris, and Aaron Parks. Now an official teacher of the Abby Whiteside Foundation, Felix brings over 20 years of teaching experience to his students.

Felix’s recent compositions have embraced minimalism, interweaving cinematic elements with the nostalgic tones of Scandinavian folk music. His music, supported by grants from the Swedish Artists' Committee, continues to transport listeners to serene yet vibrant soundscapes, evoking feelings of peace, happiness, and nostalgia. Through his unique blend of influences, Felix invites his audience on a journey where tranquil landscapes give way to dynamic urban energy, creating an unforgettable musical experience.
