Born Devin Shane Simmons in the summer of 1994, the reclusive yet collaborative Salt Lake City rapper puts his own much-needed spin on the saturated arena that he exists in. Able to effortlessly weave elements of classic lyricism, emo rap, and trap music together -- tempered with the crashing waves of triumph and personal loss, what you end up with is hard-hitting, spiritual, and oddly inspirational songs that you can take with you anywhere. 

Simmons' initial love for creating music began as early as 2011, with fellow late Salt Lake/California rapper "Onlysin", who tragically passed away in 2017. It's not often artists these days can say what they sing and rap about is even close to being true to life; 1Alone can absolutely say that and not give it a second thought. The downcast yet optimistic and hopeful souls of the world can rest assured they still have musical refuge from the cold outside -- right now it's coming out of a 28 year old from the American West.

He has a lot of stories to tell layered with hilarious punchlines, cautionary warnings, earthy melodies, and a small dose of braggadociousness -- if there's one thing you can take away from listening to him bare his soul on the singles he's released so far -- it's that *no one* is truly alone.
