johnny lieu - music for... bus rides

A couple of weeks ago I had a mix air on Triple J. It's a minor thing compared to what's happening in the world right now, and it's important to highlight most of the music here is either made by Black producers, or originates from Black culture, and as someone who is non-black I benefit from that without dealing with the structural racism that affects these communities. 

With that said, if you can, consider how you can materially support Black and First Nations people. The mix itself was finished in mid-May amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but was commissioned back in February (thanks @andygarveyandygarvey). Probs due to the world crumbling (and my own procrastination), it's the longest I've spent thinking about a mix, and all things considered I'm happy with the result. 

It’s a peak-time, genre spanning mix, with bits of UK Funky, Garage, Philly Club, Ballroom, Techno and Grime — generally music that I’ve been digging a lot more in the past year or so and maybe different to what people think I play. Thanks for listening <3
