“Projecting the Past” by JRynecki is an absolutely delightful deep house cut with an infectious breakbeat UK 2-step percussion groove swing that just blankets you in the most warm soft fuzzy furry feeling-great sonic sensation.  It recently won itself an exclusive one-of-a-kind vinyl pressing at this year’s ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) after a listening panel deemed it the winner out of all the entries they auditioned.  Not bad for a first-ever release for this Revive community leader and exceptional human, eh?  In a world full of distractions, giving someone the space to outsmart their smartphone is the best gift this world traveler would love to give you all.

My take on Childish Gambino’s “Feels Like Summer.”

I wanted to honor the original while giving it a different lens. Layered breaks, rolling basslines, and a touch of minimalism give the vocals a new space to breathe.

It’s darker than the original, but still carries the warmth and hope that made the song timeless. For me, this remix is a small act of optimism and hope in dark times.
