I often get asked what my favourite Electro tracks are, and I always struggle to answer. Like everyone else I guess, it depends on mood etc. In an interview last week, relating to an exciting  forthcoming project (watch out for  April's episode of Bass Agenda to find out more) I was asked for my top ten. I immediately said "that's impossible, but I will choose ten of my many favourites". And, here they are, glued together for fun....

Psychophonies is the name of the first album from Sakro on his label Bon Vivant. A palette of groovy dark house music and ghostly textures, all the tracks directed to the dance floor.

He was born in Madrid in the 80s. At that time he was too young to be admitted in clubs, but he managed to find a way to do it. His daring allowed him to live the experience and nightlife of the capital but what really fascinated him was the person who was playing records and how he was able to move the dance floor. 

Soon he decided to buy some decks, start collecting records and make his own sets.

Influenced by the Post Punk, New Wave and EBM styles of the late 80's and at the same time attracted by the sociocultural movement and the music coming from Detroit in his sessions he combines Electro and Techno adding his risky and cheeky character.

From the early 90's to the present, Selway has built a high-quality catalog of productions, both on his own and as a collaborator in various artist and label projects. This has included his contributions to early Deep Dish productions, success as part of the seminal New York hard techno duo Disintegrator, his electro productions and partnership with BPMF for their Serotonin label, and his most successful of collaborations as part of Smith and Selway, along with numerous remixes over the years.  Selway is also a resident artist, instructor and cirriculum desinger for 343 Labs music production school in NYC.
