A few months after his ‘Friendly Surveillance’ EP, the tenebrous frenchman Jon Beige strikes back : three of his latest productions have been chewed up and spat out under adventurous auto-remixed versions for chemically sedated dancers. There were initially meant to be club-oriented versions, but the end result sound more like they would potentially clear the dancefloor… But that’s how we love them, so we decided to name them ‘Empty Club Mixes’, which sadly sound pretty familiar at the moment.

Melting high-tech soundscapes, hypnotic synths and broken drums, Jon Beige’s synthetic universe got once again a beautiful graphic treatment by the disturbed pen of Serbian graphic artist Stevie Whisper.

Releasing Jon Beige since his earliest work, Global Warming Records is run by french producer and talent seeker Malcolm, who imagines and shapes each project hand in hand with his artists. Club Friendly Surveillance will be the label’s 14th release.

Dawn Razor (@awnazor) and Archetech, two friends and two-thirds of the once-active trio Sonnen Blumen Kerne, have collaborated to deliver an album of tracks previously released exclusively on vinyl through Dawn Razor’s NARA Records. When Lobster Theremin ceased operations, the stock of these releases was lost, leaving only brief preview snippets online.

Adam approached HOMAGE with the story and shared the tunes with us. Moved by the situation, we decided to release all of the tracks as a retrospective album. Thus, 'Half Life' was born—a collection of 10 tracks that blur the boundaries between slammin' electro, breakbeat, and mutated bass, all with a minimalist edge.

'Half Life' will be available to stream and download from May 17th, 2024.

On Oath’s latest release, the imprint is beyond proud to bring renowned Canadian producer Jesse Bru into the fold, who brings with him a truly barnstorming collection of music that dips deep into the inbetween and brings forth a captivating audial experience like no other……

Jesse Bru remains one of modern dance music’s most intriguing technicians, both from a humanistic and machine driven perspective. His sound is born deeply from 90s sample based approaches, and this fascination has been stretched out and rewritten constantly throughout his releases to great effect. Bru primarily releases music under the guise of House, but to delve deep within his records is to see a much broader perspective, where many genres can be found within the grooves and rhythms. His melodic work, with a particular emphasis on vocal samples as part of melodic exchanges with pianos and synths, is inspiring to say the least, and as a core facet of his work always aims to shift his sound onwards and upwards. There aren’t many styles that aren’t touched upon within his discography, and his journey to date feels very much like an exercise in understanding the liminal spaces that persist between a myriad of genres. Bru always finds new ways to mesmerise, entice and unfurl within his music, joyous yet calculated and unraveling - a distinctly infectious sound that keeps listeners engaged from start to finish. With stellar releases on labels such as Slothboogie, Aterral, Oath’s sub-label Last Year at Marienbad, Blaq Numbers and Happiness Therapy, there’s plenty to delve into and get to know.

For our second EP, Supercinema Records is proud to welcome Detroit veteran techno producer Luke Hess. Luke’s choice to release on Supercinema came quite naturally: “I’m very excited for this release since the record is being realized through a new label owned by great friends who are very passionate about the music & the community it creates.”
Same thoughts came to Patrick Russell, another great US producer, when asked to deliver a remix for this EP: ‘The label has a great vision and their aesthetic/design is really something special.’

From the early 90's to the present, Selway has built a high-quality catalog of productions, both on his own and as a collaborator in various artist and label projects. This has included his contributions to early Deep Dish productions, success as part of the seminal New York hard techno duo Disintegrator, his electro productions and partnership with BPMF for their Serotonin label, and his most successful of collaborations as part of Smith and Selway, along with numerous remixes over the years.  Selway is also a resident artist, instructor and cirriculum desinger for 343 Labs music production school in NYC.
