There is a sound on the other side of the wall.
An audio attack based out of Chicago, IL, Grainshifter is a hybrid of different musical influences. Combining edgy industrial rhythms, seething guitars, and infectious synthesizers, the GS sound is unlike any you've heard before
1) Our bass player MiroSlav likes to say he was raised in a government lab. He creates a multitude of "things" for the band and plays upside-down. always seen with coffee in hand and a hand-made bass.

2) Noel, a 4th generation guitarist of Cuban descent. The six string is pretty much in his blood, but he's recorded everything from harmonica to cello, piano and violin. Self taught since 2000 and part of several bands in North Carolina and Virginia before joining up with the Grainshifter. Libertarian minded and somewhat outspoken, Noel is fond eastern religion and greek philosophy.

3) The way that we found (Arcontas Blank) is a mystery to comical not to mention. About 3 or 4 years ago, he got bored browsing through the musician ads on craigslist. Over and over again, he would see posts looking for musicians that didn't have drug/alcohol problems, had their own transportation, had a job, etc. Basically, people who had their life together. Then he saw my post, a joke, with the heading, "industrial band seeks vagrant, hippie, drug-using nobodies."  He still plays lead guitar for us ;)

4 The "ghost" member of the band, Shy the Spider, actually started Grainshifter as an electro project with in 2006. Still collaborating when he can, but pursuing his PhD at the university of Dallas, studying the way the brain perceives auditory input signals through cochlear implants, a literal scientist. Also a synth afficionado who plans on creating his own gear for the band to use.

5) Our singer Christian Thompson, The Reverend Ailuranthrope, Leal Knowone, really is a stage presence. A man of many titles, he's worked on radio and TV stations, and has done many interviews with bands. This guy was born to be a spectacle. Controversial at every opportunity, but with a non-offensive, friendly personality. and very photogenic too, with a massive wardrobe like any woman. He also likes to collect bones and other animal stuff. He's worked in wildlife rescue and at one point had dozens of different creatures in his home. He honors his native american ancestry as well as Anton Lavey and Charles Manson.

Brooklyn-based SAVOY's rock edged, yet club-geared releases, along with their notoriously high energy live shows have spawned a hybrid dance culture of their own. The live electro-house trio has made a name for itself by effectively bridging the gap between the concert venue rocker and the club-bangin' partier - and the result is a rapidly emerging new market that can't get enough.  SAVOY has truly established themselves as not only talented producers but as innovators of live electronic music.
