I was born just outside of Philadelphia.  I now live inside Philadelphia. I make recordings by myself and play all the parts. STEREOMA has returned with a full length album rife with frenzied, dark and paranoid themes of isolation, heartbreak, death and rebirth. Especially on This City is Death, Tell Me No, Movement and Just As Well.

Taking a full year to write, record and produce, the album sees Nick Curran backed by a highly talented group of friends as his band mates. Founding band member Nick Curran (vocals, guitar, synth, and songwriter) has been performing with Brad Topping(guitar, synth) since childhood, and most recently with friends Josh Wood (bass) and Caleb Lewis (drums). As founding members of bands like Selah.Selah and Missing Pilots, they have shared the stage with such acts as Titus Andronicus, Andrew W.K., Deer Hunter, Don Caballero, Mates of State - just to name a few. 

For the most part it was a full band effort with only a few tracks being performed solely by Curran - a distant move from his previous work as STEREOMA. The lyrics are dense, angry and accusatory, as if something has gone terrible awry in Curran's life. When the album is at its lightest (The Smallest Spaces, Not The One), it still manages to espouse a schizoid bent.
Imagine Brian Wilson's personality getting a lift from a beer spiked with Arcade Fire, Weezer, Wilco, and U2. Hailing from  Lancaster, Pennsylvania, this is what STEREOMA (pronounced "stair-ee-OH-ma") offers.

 Standout tracks include: This City is Death, Tell Me No, The Smallest Spaces, and the title track, Movement but all are very solid tracks worthy of air time.
