With roots embedded in the cultural vibrance of Chongqing, China, and nurtured in the cool, coastal mists of Vancouver, Canada, Da Ren is the multi-faceted gem of the global music scene. Shaped by an illustrious lineage of artists, architects, and musical maestros, Da Ren's talent is not inherited but rather an extension of an indomitable spirit that has spanned generations.

Stirred by a repertoire of icons from the East and West alike, Da Ren's musical influences form a complex tapestry of experiences. From the captivating allure of Jackie Cheung, Leslie Cheung, and Eason Chan of Hong Kong's 90s era, to the magnetic pull of Taiwan's Jay Chou and JJ Lin of the 00s, and mainland China's Vae Xu who defined the 10s in Mandopop – his inspiration stretches beyond borders and cultures. And it doesn't end there. Thanks to his well-traveled family members, Da Ren's auditory landscape marries the delicate artistry of renowned Japanese cinematic songwriters like Joe Hisaishi with the audacious bravado of Western titans spanning the realms of Hip-hop and Soul, including the likes of Eminem, Kanye West, Usher, Whitney Houston, Jay-Z, and more.

Bouncing between two continents during his formative years, Da Ren found himself on the crossroads of contrasting cultures. Striking the chords on the piano as early as eight, he dived into composing and arranging music. His first composition ever was an instrumental piece written for his mother at the age of 13 titled "The Wounds," was a poignant testament to his ability to create soul-stirring, calming experiences. Inspired by being in the Church during his times in Vancouver, Da Ren was deeply moved by gospel music and influenced by American legends such as Sam Cooke, James Brown, and Elvis. In there, Da Ren found his true calling in music.

His skills aren't just confined to the art of performance. Da Ren has an acute talent for producing music for a diverse roster of artists spanning from China, Vancouver, to Atlanta. His affinity for Hip-Hop music is strongly influenced by the works of Jay Chou, Stevie Wonder, and the irreplaceable Michael Jackson. His high school years in Vancouver catapulted him to commercial success among the Asian community, and he has since produced for a plethora of genres, performed in large Asian cultural festivals, and sculpted his craft to near-perfection.

Da Ren's leap of faith brought him to Toronto at the age of 18, where he immersed himself in the city's pulsating music scene while attending the University of Toronto. Here, his debut album "Ecstatic Love" struck a chord worldwide, despite minimal marketing, garnering over a million streams, particularly within the Contemporary R&B, Alternative R&B, and Alternative Hip-Hop genres. His collaborations spanned continents and cultures, extending from mainland China to Vietnam, Nigeria, New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and back to Toronto.

An unexpected interlude during the global quarantine saw Da Ren return to China, where he delved into philosophy studies at the University of Toronto online and spiritual introspection. It inspired his latest project, "Beautiful Nightmares," which brought a blend of cinematic and theatrical elements into his music. This EP, combined with his committed grassroots promotional efforts across universities in North America, garnered him valuable connections and insight into the commercial music landscape.

Da Ren's relentless pursuit of artistic excellence led to the creation of his own record label, SYMBIO. A collective as diverse and dynamic as the music it promotes, SYMBIO is devoted to crafting a unique blend of Neo-soul, R&B, electronic, rock, and fusion genres. From fostering an inclusive community to resonating with audiences around the world who appreciate music, Asian culture, and value self-expression. SYMBIO is designed to leave a lasting impression on the global music landscape.

Currently, Da Ren's "Beautiful Nightmares EP," an experimental project intertwining Mandopop, Cantopop, Alternative R&B, and Alternative Hip-Hop elements, marks an exciting milestone in his journey. Despite slow and steady marketing, the project has served as a deep dive into the music industry's navigation and distribution. As it seeks to bridge the gap between East and West, Da Ren's goal is to tap into the unexplored potential of this fusion genre, igniting a cultural revolution in the music world.

Furthermore, Da Ren is steering his creativity towards a Contemporary R&B album set for a release in the first quarter of 2024. A testament to his growth as an artist, the album is a part of a broader vision to continue challenging the status quo and creating unique sonic experiences. In this ever-evolving music industry, Da Ren stands tall as a beacon of creativity, authenticity, and vision, carving a path for future generations of artists.
