Hello! My name is Hans Henning Thomas. I think, I´m more a soundengineer than a songwriter and more a songwriter than really a singer/musician. I started to play guitar  late, i.e. on the age of sixteen and had never learned an instrument before. So my first musical influences have been by songwriters, because I firstly payed most of my attention to the lyrics. My musical understanding developed at this time, moving away from home and hanging around with some friends. At this time I did my first steps by grounding a band. But we were influenced more by the era of such as the Doors, Rory Gallagher, Neil Young, Jimmy Hendrix,  Pink Floyd or the first Deep Purple cast, - while the actual successful music at this time sadly was New German Wave and the like.

Later, after becoming an firstly unemployed physics, I followed my intention and turned my passion to trade, becoming a sound engineer. After all I got a well paid job in an public supported analog sound studio for a decade, recording and teaching some people in sound engineering. Some of my songs, published here, are a result from this era.

Now I´m working again as a physics / engineer, and music became my fervour again. In my life I lived in many different towns, in East and West Germany -  i.e. Düsseldorf, Braunschweig, Paderborn, Berlin, (1/2 year Tropea, Calabria, Italy), Hagen Westf, Siegburg, Dresden (Neustadt) and now I turned to Rahden, Westf., again, where I live deep in the country in an integral nature reserve. The experiences, I got and the people I met, might be an insperation for my philosophy and my music.

Thanks to the new computer technologies, I was able to build myself a modern home recording studio again, to produce my own and my friends music in a good quality.

My intention for the next time is, to listen to the theme and sound of the nature and turn it to music. The Intro of my song "Wild Ducks Flying" ("Flieg mit dem Wind") is a good example for this project. It came up to me, when I recorded some wild ducks trough my open window, flying over my house. I loaded the samples into a software synthesizer and started to made music to it, leaning on the style of some early Pink Floyd projects. This song should be regarded to migrant birds in analogy to the human society, nowadays.

I plan to go on this way in my next holiday, at least for a month, recording and using the sounds of a forest at night and the like.

Allan Corby fell in love with the guitar at the early age of 13 and learned to play folk songs and progressed to having a trio that auditioned for Ted Mack Amateur Hour at the New York World’s Fair in 1964. Allan became involved in radio in the late ’60s and had a unique radio segment called, “Mr. Guitar-man”, in which he taught guitar chords to popular songs live on the radio. He began writing his own songs and in 1972, got a record deal and produced pop/disco tracks for Decca. His talent led to performances in many clubs across NYC as well as having the opportunity to be an opening act for The Doobie Brothers and ZZ Top. 
After getting married and starting a family, Allan took a 50-year break from the music industry. Now in his early 70’s, Allan is writing with fire and passion. Love Is a Merry-go-round is his newest acoustic-inspired release, produced by his online guitar teacher and finger-style guitarist extraordinaire, Lance Allen. Allan continues to learn the art of finger-style guitar and writes new songs every week.

Apart from a very rare gig, singing and playing in bands is long behind me, through circumstances, but that doesn't apply for making / recording music in general, at home. This channel reflects a little of those (more or less desperate) attempts, every now and then.

"Songwriting has been, and continues to be, an outlet which enables me to express my observations, feelings and experiences.  For me, personally, there is no formula to writing a song.  Some songs take a relatively small amount of time to write – others can take many years until they reach a point where I feel they are complete. Without exception, the inspiration comes at times when I do not feel under pressure to write.  The process of writing and recording my thoughts is, at times, therapeutic; at other times, such as in the case of ‘War’, it leaves me deeply challenged by the emotions it provokes”.
Since 2001, almost 30,000 Australian men and women from our Australian Defence Force served in Afghanistan. During the 12 years spent in Afghanistan-( Australia's longest ever War ), 41 Australian soldiers were killed and hundreds were seriously wounded. Many of the soldiers returned safely on home soil but lost the battle with the demons that followed them home. The number of serving and former soldiers who have taken their own lives is now more than 12 times Australia's combat toll in Afghanistan. There are hundreds if not thousands who will carry permanent Physical and Mental illness with them for the rest of their lives. "Lest We Forget" them our Modern Day Veterans and their families also on Anzac Day. 'War' is a song that came from meeting Afghanistan war veteran Beau Rutledge who served in Afghanistan 2008. I hope it goes a little way towards paying my respects to the men and women of our Australian Defence Force and to all our Modern Day Veterans. " LEST WE FORGET "

Nero Simon and the Sunsetters are an American rock band formed in Atlanta, GA in 2021 by singer-songwriter Jorge “Nero” Simon. Blending styles of classic rock and 70s California folk, this 8-piece ensemble delivers a sun-drenched sound that invites you to discover a trove of original music filled with visions of sunsets, sand and surf.

With the Sunsetters, Nero sought to angle Americana music in a different direction, embarking on a sound that doesn’t draw its breath from the heartland or the mountains, but instead is firmly rooted at sea level, pulsating from the coastlines, islands and keys of the American South.

Nero Simon and the Sunsetters released their debut album Treasure Chest in 2022 and their follow-up Waveland in 2024. The band’s anticipated third album Pura Vida will be officially released on April 4, 2025.
